Nobody seems very optimistic about this; I wonder why? OK, with Spurs they're capable of rolling us over. Hope for our sake that doesn't happen. A narrowish loss in some ways wouldn't be a disaster; we could probably do without a long cup rung, and the fact some of our closest rivals are still involved in the cup could be to our advantage. But the feeling of putting one over Spurs would be fantastic
I don't think Bruce will field a weakened team. He'll want to avoid any danger of negativity feeding back in. I think he'll try to play it tight, and hope to hit them on the break. May be something like:

with McCormack replacing Gabby at some point.

Glad its over haha the FA Cup is a joke so out of it is good.
I do despair at the pundits trying to big it up........ it was crap and the wrong choice for tv.......but trying to pick an fa cup game that will be good is like a minefield nowadays with the weakened sides.
When little ole bournemouth change eleven for the fa cup it shows that there is no motive but money
Scrap the milk cup to start with and lessen the number of games and then clubs may may think slightly differently?

On the whole thought we played pretty well but with no real bite up front. Gabby tried hard but with no real support. McCormack looked pretty useless when he came on. Johnstone looks a very good signing. We need Lansbury and maybe Rhodes.
Some of our closest rivals are still involved, probably to our advantage.

Agree about the FA cup. F should stand for fixed. I've lost count of the number of easy, easy draws the big clubs have got in recent years.
Winners should get a Champions league place. Teams currently in the Champions League should not be allowed to take part and the league cup (or whatever it is called now) should be scrapped.
Unless something is done, it will remain - largely - an irrelevance now.

well last year we knocked out to be champions lesta, then got knocked out by an in form palace side.
and the year before we were knocked out by arsenal in the 3rd round… so i don't think i agree.
the rent boys always get an easy tie at home though
