If Ross McCormack at 30 is worth 12 million, having never played at a higher level than the championship and having completely failed in the SPL with just 12 goals in 59 games then i'm sure we would be able to get just as much for a 22 year old meaning we have not suffered too much of a loss.

So like Kuyt then?
-----------------
He knew where the net was, worked his socks off and generally was worth his place in the team every week and was great value for money!

Vincent Chancegone is absolute pony lad!

Kuyt was shiiite mate

The problem with "being patient" with Janssen is that Kane needs a back up NOW. If Kane gets injured, where are we?
Spurs are in third spot on GD and fighting to get closer to the Scuuuuu*mm and still in the Funny Adams pot, and the second class Euro competition.
That's a lot with only one legitimate striker.

Me thinks the writing is on the wall for Pochettino and for Levy:
go out and buy another striker, whatever you do with Janssen.
And Alan Shearer had a lot to say about wot Janssen was doing wrong in the Aston Villa game.

It's not that we're not using him properly; I doubt the orders to him are to evacuate the penalty box are they? That might sound harsh but he's not getting into scoring positions. If he kept getting in there but the ball never arrived I'd actually be more comfortable with that. Ultimately I want him to do well and I appreciate the fact that he works hard, but working hard should be a prerequisite, especially in a job you love (assuming he loves football). I want to see him moving away from defenders with multiple runs rather than coming short all the time....

As for the comment re Rodriguez, not gonna happen. Austin is still injured and for what Rodriguez would cost he wouldn't be worth it.

I like how Poch is using Janssen and Son when Kane doesn't start. Janssen gets 60 mins to wear down the defenders then Son can exploit space in the last 30mins.

Thanks for the comments troops, well, most of them anyway

For me, it's too soon to write the bloke off, if we had jumped the gun with Bale when he was settling in we would have been gutted, likewise Modric, and to a lesser extent Rose and Walker who have both been slated many times yet are now virtually undropable (sp?)

Time will tell but I reckon there is a decent striker in there somewhere ....... Let's hope Poch can find him.

I expressed my concerns when he missed that sitter for his old club BUT I am Certain that this young footballer will come good.
