Ratings vs Derby

Not done one of these before but here goes........
Green 7 - Quite lucky to get away with the disallowed goal even though it was a clear handball. A couple of vital saves in 1st half and especially the one straight after goal which could have killed our momentum.

Coyle 8 - A revelation. Not going to lie. Was nervous about him before game. Needn't have worried. A vital interception in 2nd half, raided and overlapped on right and crosses were good.

Bartley 8 - Would have been higher but for his glaring miss. An absolute rock at the back and makes the game look so easy.

Ayling 8 - Gets moved to centre back due to cover absences and he too makes it look easy. Wasn't shy of getting forward still when he could.Vital, versatile player.

Beradi 7 - Not missing Taylor too much with his consistent performances.Solid as ever and unlucky not to score with a bending effort.

Bridcutt 8 - I think this may have been his best game for us. Helped us strangle Derby's midfield and was always wanting the ball. He too got forward when he could and is getting fully match fit now.

Vierra 9 - Stopped short of a 10 due to some wayward passes late in the game and he probably should have scored at the death. Being harsh though because this 18 year old is a star and going to play at the highest level. Bossed midfield.

Doukara 8 - Took some stick at Cambridge.Cam back fighting last night. Another tireless shift, physical, made ball stick and gave Derby's defence a real fight.

Roofe 8 - Getting better week by week.Good movement and plays with his head up a bit like the next bloke on the list. Just needs to add more goals to his game,which he will.

Hernandez 10 - Simply brilliant last night and orchestrated Derby's downfall. ball glued to his feet always looking for passes and attacks. Like some more high profile Spanish players from his generation, a little magician.He could be our Strachan this season.

Wood 8 - Prolific. Looks good for 30 goals. What a turnaround.

Dallas 6 A brief cameo but looked fine when he came on

Mowatt not enough time to rate him.

Monk 10 A brilliant tactical set up from him and it seems he laid down a challenge to the lads to make a statement in front of cameras to show how far they have come.
