I know he hasn't done fantastic yet but Pep is certainly a manager who can stop a predictable 523/343, maybe it would be worth springing a tactical surprise and reverting back to 4231.

Their fullbacks and defence in general are really so bad that we should play very aggressive.

After seeing how bad they did against Everton's wing back formation I'm pretty sure that's what poch will choose

Yeah, totally get the KWP/Trippier thing. He was actually saying better as in a more talented footballer. Trippier is a man, who has been playing mens football so no real comparison in terms of overall. I would still like to see him get some minutes in the coming weeks though.

On City - I do not think they have the players in their squad to deal with Walker and Rose. It does not matter what formation we go with, they will dominate the opposite fullbacks in direct battle.

I think the only way he could negate them is by overloading us at the back with forwards if we go 4231. By making them defend rather than asking his fullbacks to go toe to toe.

As such, it is 3421 all the way for me. I would back our four solid central players to do well v his four forwards, as good as they are. Dier, Toby, Wimmer/Davies and Wanyama is pretty secure. No lumbering donkeys there.

Dembele v Toure is obviously a key battle, both will have defending to do as well as chipping in going forwards. 2/3 years go I would swap, but no chance now. Not a chance in hell.

I would back Alli, Eriksen and Kane to run rings around their CBs and whoever is playing defensive midfield for them. They are a shambles and our lads are red hot.

I just do not see them beating us right now. A whole combination of factors, but I would back any of the rest of the top 6 at the Etihad next week.
