Iwobi

What sort of future do you think he has at the club and as a player? There has been a bit of frustration with his selection as he has looked a bit jaded lately but Wenger clearly rates the kid and is backing him to rediscover his form as he keeps starting him.

I thought he was poor in the first half against Swansea but was good in the second half. He certainly runs more now and tries harder even though he never actually puts in tackle which does my head in . He showed his best form at the back end of last season where he was at times sublime, especially the Everton game away with Welbeck in the side whose return I continue to stress will make us a better team.

The issue isn’t about ability as he is clearly a talented player and at the age of 20 has so much to his game. You could be tempted to compare him to Delli Alli who is of the same age but they have a different type of game and Iwobi literally can’t strike a football which is one of his weakness.

So what are his strengths? I feel he is brilliant in central areas, especially with players around him for the give and goes. His best game this season was against palace when Ozil was out ill. He has really good balance (Something I quite like about Pogba by the way) and can swerve and move in either direction easily.Decent dribler and appears to have a creative bone.

I imagine Wenger will persist with him until Santi is fit but is that the right decision and what is Wengers plan with him and his long term position/role in the team?

I think that he is one guy who has looked at Sanchez and decided to take this opportunity to learn his trade from a consummate pro. With that said, considering his age, the sky is the limit.

He's intelligent, has good awareness and he's decent technically. But he's not enough of a goal threat for an attacking player. It's not just about his abysmal ball striking: he doesn't get into good positions or make runs off the ball. He's too attracted to the ball and obsessed with cutting inside, and hence too predictable. Still see him as a squad player and he has a hell of a lot to learn.

This guy is true baller at heart and that proper love of the game should lead to a good career. He's been known to play 5 a side in Mile end after training.. that gives you an idea of his character.

He should not play on the right again, so much better when he moved to the left.

He is a kid playing in between Ozil and Sanchez.

He must be in heaven.

I honestly feel he can certainly be better than he already is. Wenger will take his time with him and let him improve with time.

Hes a good player who gonna have poor games as well as bad games. Upto Wenger to pick the right team and see when he needs to be rested or put on the bench.

He should be used mainly as back up to Mesut Ozil. His best position is centrally, and with options such as Welbeck, Perez, Walcott and Chamberlain available he shouldn't really be starting on the wing.

Having said that, he was very good in the second half, and was involved heavily in all 4 goals.

Iwobi is getting too much game time IMO. We're supposed to be challenging for the title, no way we should be pinning our hopes on a kid who is clearly nowhere near the finished product.

I like him and think he has a bright future but I think it's become quite plain to see that he's well out of his depth as a starter. This isn't 2007 our finances don't dictate we have to pin our hopes on kids who aren't ready anymore. Sorry but he needs to go back to the bench and we need to spend some money, that is if we're serious about winning anything this season.
