I'm sure not ever winning a title haunts Gerrard, but imagine if he chose to join a real winning team like he almost did, the amount of abuse that would have been heaped on him. He's a legend at his club, well-loved, and I really don't think he'd rate legend status here, no less than Nicky Butt or Phil Neville, no more than Massimo Taibi.
