Would you swap squads with City?

Given the hysteria at the start of the season regarding the Manchester clubs and their inevitable two horse race for the title, in addition to the transfer fees they've accumulated over the years on their squad, the initial assumption would be that City's is superior to Spurs'. But I'm not sure I would swap personally

Lloris is far superior to Bravo

I would certainly take Rose and Walker over any of their fullbacks, and considering their ages I wouldn't swap our back ups either

Toby and Jan as a pairing is better than any of their combinations

In CM they have more depth with Yaya, Fernandinho, Gundogan etc... but I wouldn't bet against Dembele and Wanyama winning that midfield battle

Attacking areas is where they trump us, as KDB and Silva are better than any of our AMs, with Sterling, Sane, Nolito good depth as well, although we also have plenty of bodies with Lamela and Son only bench players nowadays

A fully fit and firing Aguero you would have to take over Kane but considering age and injuries, I wouldn't swap the two. Kelechi is better than Janssen tho

A combined XI would be pretty much a Spurs back 5/6 with City attackers, but although City have a deeper squad, considering the age profile of their players as well as a very average defence, I would stick with ours

To be clear, I believe City have better individuals than Spurs, but taking everything into consideration I would rather have the balance of our squad

Thoughts?

I think the argument for Poch's coaching methods bringing out the best in players is a strong one. Rose and Walker are classic examples, they have just got better and better under him when 3 years ago they looked very average. Wanyama looks a beast under Poch but never played near this standard at Saints. Dembele had done nothing in his Spurs career yet under Poch he has been superb. Vertonghen has looked immeasurably better the last two seasons. Players like Dele, Dier and Kane look so fit and strong.

Would these players be able to play to this level under a different manager with different methods, even one like Pep? I'm not sure.

I wouldn't swap squads, ours has a much younger age group, much better defence and defensive midfield and not far off attack wise. We finished above them last season, have beaten them the last 3 league games and are currently above them. We are better, currently, no question.

Pep has a lot of work to do. I hope they don't come sniffing round WHL for new signings.

And yet you've won what?

Nowt, just saying our current squad is better than yours. Yours has been in decline for a while now.

"Oooh look at us we've spent billions so I'm gonna give it large". Fack off mug.

Think the 'ooooh' is more appropriate for your reply.

Forget about Spurs, a Southend fan wouldn't swap his team for these bunch of mercenaries.
