we are already on more points than we had after 38 league games last season.
Wow!
Not trying to highlight here how good we are this season. But more, considering the players we had at our disposal, how shockingly bad we were last season.
And we were. There's no denying it.
I wasn't shocked by the poor start because the warning signs were there in the Summer. I just didn't expect us to be SO bad for the whole season.
I think it does show, regardless of the 'no excuse for players downing tools' thing. In hindsight the only thing we could do was part with Jose.
Present time is showing me i was probably wrong with wanting Koeman ahead of Conte. Although i still rate Koeman
So what is the minimum you're expecting Chelsea to achieve this season?
With 17 league games to go..........

To be fair you will also have bottled it if you don't win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well you'd know all about your own side bottling it after finishing third in a two horse race last season. An accomplishment that certainly won't be forgotten anytime soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And yet you're shiiitscared that us bottlers will overtake you, to the point you can't even consider yourself favourites for the title.

I think your lead over City was because they had about three games in hand at one stage. It was always pretty close after xmas after games played.
Yeah I'd agree with your last paragraph. Especially as we own that crown from 2012. How we lost the title to City that season I'll never know.

Spurtle you're the one who is in denial about Spurs's title chances when in fact you have every reason to believe that you can win it.
Maybe you're too used to seeing your side fack things up but this season's Spurs side are different. You have an excellent manager and a squad who will have learned a lot from last season's disappointment.
Most importantly you have a very good side and man for man you could argue that Spurs have a better starting 11 than Chelsea.

No you're the one who's too sh*tscared to admit you have a very good side because you don't want there to be any expectancy on them as in reality there should be plenty.
Spurs have bottled in the past when there's been expectancy on them so that's why you don't people talking them up now.

Not really.
If you were to put it to a vote as to who people think will win the title out of Chelsea and Spurs, the majority will say Chelsea, for obvious reasons that you can't seem to comprehend.
You act as though you're in really bad form and a capitulation is already underway. You've lost 1 in your last 15.

How can you say this season's Spurs side are different when they haven't got into a position to fack anything up yet?
Broaquin, yeah was more interesting than our season so I remember it. That was when we had Moyes.

Once again who's said anything to the contrary? Of course a majority of people would say Chelsea at this stage. Doesn't mean it will happen though.
Just because a lot of people think something will probably happen does that mean it will actually happen? Did a lot of people think that Leicester would win the title last season?
Anything can happen in football and just because a side is top halfway through a season it doesn't mean they'll go on to be top at the end of the season.
Especially not in the PL when there are so many sides who can win it as well as so many supposedly lesser sides who can take points off you.
Anyway enough of me biting tonight.

The lesser sides haven't taken many points off the top six this season. It's why there's such a gap between them and the rest.
