Seems to be a big mentality amongst the average football fan, every time Bravo fecks up Joe Hart is elevated to god like status even tho he has been average for years.
Similar happened at Newcastle with Pardew, he was doing a rubbish job and deservedly sacked yet because Carver and McLaren happened to do even worse it got the false sense that Pardew was actually doing a good job, same as how Bravo's woes are making Hart (who has been average for a few years and not exactly scaling trees in Italy) look better than he is.
A lot of times player's/manager's deserved/needed replacing and the fact the club fecked up with the replacment's doesn't change that.
Two wrong's make a right?

Maybe Pep should just train Stones to be a keeper, can't do much worse than he currently is and can pass the ball from the back.

Hart hasn't been particularly great since the 2011-12 season but he wasn't a weak link in the City squad either. I thought it was harsh for Pep to ditch him so quickly, especially since he was a favourite with the fans and a popular PL figure. Bravo was always bound to be heavily scrutinized because of who he was replacing, and the fact he's been 5hit has made it far worse.

Bravo's English isn't so bad apparently.
And, what some seem to forget, is that Pep asked Hart to stay and fight for his place. Hart decided not to, but then again, why disrupt the media's agenda on this issue?

Why would Hart stay when he was third in the pecking order of managers preferred keepers when he clearly is the best of what city had.
Pep will keep with who he has because he won't admit he made an error.

The manager would say that. It's obvious he made it clear who his first choice keeper would be, though.

It's because brave isn't English
The press do it with English managers also. Whenever fat Sam, pardew, rednapp are sacked and replaced by a European manager, the press go into overdrive with the criticism

That's the 1st time I've heard that slant put on the affair.
Every other story has been of Hart (including Hart himself) being told by Guardiola that he had no future at the club with him in charge.
Not sure where you get your info from!!

The thing is, Pep made a big thing about Hart's lack of ball skill and then they went all out for Bravo. Hart, from most reports seem to have been told he is unwanted but free to stay and fight for his place while being third choice GK. It's different from Liverpool's GK situation as there are only two competing as well as injury playing a part, and Pep made sure the whole world know who was going to number 1 and why.
Hart's career at City is over. Unless Pep admits he made a mistake. Managers like Pep don't admit to mistakes until they have a biography out and/or retired.

Goalkeepers cant fight for their place. All they can do is hope their rivals mess up repeatedly.

Totally agree.
Nothing to do with him saving a ridiculously small proportion of shots faced and generally looking rubbish whenever he plays
