Taylor for Rhodes?

There is a lot of speculation about Rhodes future at the moment, but the reality is that few clubs in the Championship can afford him. Villa are leading the pack, if News Now is to be believed, but we have been mentioned as an interested party. The only way I could see it happening is if we used Charlie as part of the deal.
Would you swap Taylor for Rhodes, if the deal was on? This looks like a deal that would benefit both clubs. With Bamford returning to Boro', that will make it harder for Rhodes to succeed there. Taylor looks like a natural fit at left-back for 'Boro and would give them the strength in depth they need for their battle to avoid relegation. We would have to cough up some money, especially as Rhodes is on a Premier League salary, but he is proven at this level.

I don't rate Rhodes in the slightest. He's one of those players that looks awful but will score a tap in. Good finisher but there is a reason he has played for Huddersfield and Blackburn and no Prem team took a chance on him. All round game is bad and Wood is a lot better.

Taylor however is a good player and would absolutely hold his own in the Prem. A better player than Byram for me- and I was a big Byram fan. He's a good defender but going forward, he can take it past players and create chances. Accelerates so fast and is a real asset. Let's get promoted and sign him up.

Taylor for Rhodes would possible be te worst piece of transfer business that could ever be done.

Swopping a player who has been a vital part of our success over recent weeks for a player who wouldn't fit our system would be suiciide for a promotion push.

You bring in Rhodes and to make it work you have to drop one of wood, Pablo or roofe and then change the formation.

Can't imagine why anyone would think of doing that

Wilfred Rhodes would be a better bet.

I'll take that as a 'no', then?

I wouldn't worry I doubt Monk and Clotet will have not thought of this stuff. Would think Fletcher could be more viable. Also someone mentioned the other day Matt Smith is a good shout but doubt Fulham would sell to a rival.

we couldnt even afford half of boros rhodes valuation.

id be very surprised to see anyone come in.

although the longer brentford seem to avoid paying for canos the more chance we will have.

west ham need to off load payet, start making sensible offers for players, so they can afford to let fletcher go.

he is clearly the striker monk wants.
