Interview with Pochettinho, probably the best thing you will read all year.

Poch keeps it real.

No histrionics or exhibitionism.

A classy person and gentleman

The guy is a class act it has to be said. Notice how he gets on with most of the other managers, that is indicative of his manner with them.
I can honestly say even if he ups and leaves us I will wish him all the best. Unless he goes to Chelsea of course (he would never go to Arsenal I'm sure)

How do you lead the new generations?
“You have to try to feel things the way they do, show empathy. Nowadays, the more human leader is the one that is successful. The Iron Fist is a thing of the past. The kids also feel passion but you have to help them discover it, discover inspiration. More than motivate them, you have to take care of them. Today, everything tends to make relationships colder. You have to maintain them via text messages, Whats App, Skype. It’s very difficult for people nowadays to create a relationship, to look people in the eye, touch another person. Those of us that come from another generation have the responsibility to not have this new generation forget how to touch, talk to each other, relate. All of that is what football consists of. Tactics are nothing more than the relación that you have with your teammate. Based on how we relate amongst each other we will define how we act.”

_____________

This is my favourite part, possibly intentional, but massively politically profound.

I remember Redknapp saying something similar...something along the lines of "triffic, top top player, family man, triffic player, never 'ad a days trouble from him, triffic".

Even Adebarndoor loves poch
Adebayor told the Guardian: “I’m happy for Pochettino and how they are doing. Things didn’t work out between us but he is a great manager and we still have a good relationship despite what people might think.
“We still keep in touch – he is a good guy and has changed Tottenham. I don’t know whether the fans there hate me or love me but they should remember one thing, which is that there was a time when I scored goals for them and made them happy.”

Yeah, Redknapp also had some interesting things to say about tactics, like "facking run around a bit"

Yes, we have a very good manager right now.
Remember, Pochettino has had his baptism of fire too. He was the Argentinian defender that gave away a penalty that lost them a World Cup final, I believe.
He thinks the ref was conned by a dive.

Anyways, he can be very tough too - Townsend for example.

So, now to the really tough question:
Who wins the Citey match on Saturday?
