Handball - City's first goal

Proves it here - arm wayyyyyyy out in front. If ball doesn't hit hand there's no chance of a goal.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2673429/manchester-city-2-tottenham-2-watch-highlights-gabriel-jesus-has-debut-goal-ruled-offside-as-spurs-fight-back-for-valuable-title-race-point/ - look at 4th picture down.
Another one missed by the officials.
Please don't reply with "the ball hit his hand not the other way around" or "he was only a yard away" - none of that is relevant when arm is put in front like that.
Lucky Spurs ? Not really

'But the Frenchman inadvertently headed the ball against Sane’s hand, allowing the youngster to tap into an empty net.'

The salient point from that lot.

Ball to hand, goal all day long (And it's not even clear from that clip that it was his hand) - are you that desperate to convince everyone you got away with one after Walkers push?

Sane and sterling have to be a starting pair

For me it's handball because it gave him an advantage...

No fault on the referees though. There is no way that they could have spotted it.

I'd have to agree with this.

I think the ref was poor in this game for both teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from that Sterling push, the ref was a total homer....Rose was taken out 2 or 3 times, Walker caught late and numerous other fouls where either no foul given or no deserved yellow issued. He was really inconsistent

I can't remember specifics but there were at least 2 occasions that I thought City players were lucky not to get booked.

What happened with Dele Alli? I saw that a player got pushed but did it warrant a Red or a Yellow? Haven't seen a replay so I can't offer an opinion either way.

The best was the City player offside in his own half. Silva kicked all over the shop in the first 20 minutes in what appeared to be a clear intent. City penalty and Spurs player off and at 3-1 the game is over, even with the terrible finishing City were showing.

Wasn't that Spurs taking the free kick about 3 yards inside City's half? I'd forgotten about that. That was laughable and pretty much sums up the levels of incompetence we all see on a weekly basis.

I remember years ago Anelka getting flagged offside at Newcastle, after latching onto a misplaced back pass by a Newcastle defender.

It wasn't even as if the defender was under pressure from a City player. He just lazily passed it back and the Linesman flagged.

Nothing has changed really.

That was the correct decision to be fair though, they changed the law.

Must have happened overnight. I missed that one.

It was this or last season. The ball is now placed where the ball is touched so essentially, if you run back into your own half from being in a offside position, then the free kick can happen in your own half.

That literally makes no sense whatsoever
