Anyone who still believes english football

isn't corrupt needs their head examined.

Forget the score, this kind of refereeing has been going on for too long.

We need a full investigation of all affiliated bodies....it won't take much to find the dirt

How many players on the 22 + subs on display made errors today? Plenty.

Why is it that refs should be any different?

Mistakes and human error is part of the game. Theres no bias. It's just inevitable that mistakes happen just like we all do at work too. Nobody gets everything right.

The refs are incompetent but no one asks why. Its because they've been left to their antics.

The number of times when you can see in the replays that the ref has an unobstructed view of an incident and still fails to make/makes the appropriate decision is mindboggling. Especially linesmen with fouls happening right in front of them.

By not having an effective system for ref accountability we allow room for too much lazy and poor officiating and refs grabbing headlines etc. some of which is avoidable if high standards are applied, just like in any other profession/industry.

I know its not easy handling refs but I think it's doable. For instance, we perhaps could have had a points system from the start that determines which ref gets what level of games rather than having the same refs in the same leagues all the time no matter what happens.

Also, there should be far more refs than there are IMO and money clearly isn't a problem

Some of the comments made by former refs about Fergie for instance are concerning and prove that its probably not corruption but too many loopholes to exploit and ineffective accountability in the officiating.

I've been saying this for years and been getting ridiculed on here for suggesting such a thing.

And you will still get ridiculed for it you stupid buffoon
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol.

The difference is I back it up with a couple of facts. I dont think they are actually corrupt so much as Arsenal are a team that fans of some other teams love to hate. The last 2 heads of the refs organisation, Keith Hackett and Mike Riley, are known to not like Arsenal and it has been reported several times that this is the case.

Just so i understand things correctly the OP feels match officials are correct because Arsenal got an offside winning goal in the 8th minute of injury time today?

The linesman that just stood there like a melon when Alonso kicked Hernandez in the heel inside the box wants sacking. Utter embarrassing officiating atm. Check out Mike Deans performance yesterday too
