To my glorious Reds

So, the world and his dog have written you off. I don't suppose any of you will ever read this, or even know of its existence. Fair enough. I wouldn't probably want to read anything you've written either.

But, I'm a fan, a passionate fan. Wedded to the belief that our manager can take us to places where we haven't been for, oh, such a long time. In public, he speaks highly of you, sometimes with a hint of sting in the tail. Passionate for you guys to win too. Again, the 'experts' tell us you just ain't good enough, and on yesterday's shambles, they may have a point.

I, for one, am still behind you. I want you to win trophies for our club, and for your own advancement. I don't want any of you to leave (and that includes Mamoud).

Is this season's race over? Well, it's a big wall to climb. If you persist in sideways, sideways, backward, sideways, back sideways, sideways etc. boring me and my fellow Reds to distraction, then the simple answer is, no.

Remember the first game of the season? A fight to the death, and the better team won. By a single goal, but by a country mile.

So, please put the humiliation of Saturday behind you, and get stuck in. If not for anyone else, then just for yourselves.
