Scott Brown

Due to make his 400th appearance for Celtic on Wednesday night against St Johnstone.

He's 32 this year and has 18 months left on his contract. Everyone knows I'm never going to fully like the guy, I think he's been awful for at least 1/3 of his time with us, had his fare share of injuries and doesn't nearly get enough goals for a midfielder, 36 in 399 games

BUT... Some players as shown with the likes of Sinclair will inevitably suit a certain style of football and a manager who knows how to get the best out of them. Scott Brown seems to have found that very man in Brendan Rodgers, the transformation not only in his fitness and running power (which had disappeared for 3 years) but his intelligence to the role and most importantly a passing range that no one probably including Brown himself knew that he had.

Being honest I thought Brown was out the door when BR came in based on the showings he was producing week in week out but it's been polar opposite and he's thrived in this style of play so credit to both of them.

On this season's form I wouldn't begrudge him a new contract but he's approaching that age where it shouldn't be any more than 2 years and the injuries he's had over the years will eventually catch up on him.

This time last year I would have loved nothing more than to see him pushed out the door, never to be seen again in a Celtic jersey.

Now I can't imagine this Celtic team without him so fair play to him.

6 League titles, soon to be 7.
2 Scottish Cups
3 League Cups

All in the space of 9 and a half years.

Money well spent? Hmmmm, at £4.4 million and £30,000 a week for almost 10 years I'd say I would have liked a lot more from him but if he keeps this form up and Celtic march towards more title wins he will leave a legend no matter what I or anyone else think of him.

Oh I'm sorry.
You're right. I'm wrong.
That is what we call an alternative fact.\0/

I'm not a lawyer

I'm just pretty much constantly right

And Brown is better than Lennon, that's not something which can split opinion surely.

I don't need a watch.

Whenever I want to know the time I just guess at it. I've never been late for anything yet

Brown has been a brilliant team player for Celtic - struggle to understand the criticism of him to be honest. Not the silkiest nor a prolific scorer but his drive and strength through the middle has been constant over nearly ten years now. End of 14/15 and start of 15/16 he got slaughtered by some - carried an injury for a while then was out for months after an op then felt his way back - he got a hard time for that spell and he wasn't even playing for most of it ffs
