I'm liken this Trump fella

He scraps America's involvement with TPP

http://news.sky.com/story/president-trump-takes-us-out-of-trans-pacific-partnership-trade-deal-10740409

Key statement and great example of the EU as follows

During his daily briefing, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said: "When you enter into these multi-national agreements, you're allowing any country, no matter the size, to have the same stature as the United States in the agreement."

"BINGO" wasn't that long ago i'm sure a small flemish origin vetoed the UK for change that the UK was seeking.

thoughts???

I don't get why trump gets a bad rep?

we need some protectionism here to imo.

we have chance to reinvent uk plc and hope we do that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I spoke to Mervyn King a while back and he was quite open to the need for a degree of protectionism in order that UK Plc address the trade deficit, albeit he feels the need such trade rebalances should get a globally orchestrated maneuver.

Any reinvention of UK Plc will take many many years. Ie, moving away from a services based economy.

In simple terms, if we're treating the UK as a business model, some costing in relation to the decisions (and impacts) might have been an idea.

Money pulled from US funded abortion globally, so good news for the unborn.

Too often, abortion is used as contraception.

In Northern Ireland, we are too far the other way, in that abortion is banned, and an in cases such as rape,,or the life of the mum being at risk, termination is still forbidden, so women head to Liverpool!.

Killing the unborn is not a feminist right, or just a woman's issue about their body.
Who speaks for the baby in late term abortions, baby girls, as well as boys?

From my limited recollection of freakonomics, how that impacts crime rates in the next few decades will be interesting.

Trump has cut off US funding to ANY organisation that lists abortion as part of family planning.

Views on abortion aside millions of people are not going to have access to various healthcare services. Services will have to make cut backs. People will suffer.
