Anyone notice that there was more criticism for Martial this week. Heard he was left out of the Squad for United's game at stoke following a poor performance vs Liverpool the week before. We can all agree that he's been poor this year Vs Last season but he's unquestionably a talent. It would appear there are issues with him at United/ Jose type player ???? We were strongly linked with him before he went to United. So......
1) Would United Sell ? Correct me if I'm wrong but his fee from Monaco was based on appearances, goals, Titles etc (Not sure full fee was ever fully announced ?)
2) Would he be the Missing link, back up to Kane as Primary striker, would get a game for us as a wide attacker
3) something starting to sound a bit fishy re Lamela (home sick, dog, Back in Italy to treat dubious hip injury, Family issues back home.
If we could get a decent price for Lamela (Boca are Flush post Tevez & always linked with a move back to Italy) would it be worth going all out for him. After all Jose has proved he will sell big name players to rivals (Mata when he was at Chelsea). Perhaps MoPo is the right kind of manager to get the best out of a talented young player ???

Basically from what I can gather is:
Lamela got injured
His brother was in a serious car accident and is currently in a wheelchair
His dog passed away
It appears that things got a bit much so he has looked for the comfort of Roma to help him over this hard time

Too many attacks break down with Martial. Teams often double up on him but he holds onto the ball too long too often. On his day he is probably the best player at the club but those days don't happen often enough and he seems not to like Joses methods.
Was a shock that he was left out of the squad for Stoke and even when he had played well was on the bench next game. Disappointing to see him go but he is currently the obvious saleable asset for huge money bar China .

True..... The frustrations of being a Spurs fan. Must be nice to know that no player is basically out of your reach... but it will make it that much sweeter when our team of cheapies finishes above you !!!

We have one of the best training & medical facilities in the league. Just curious as to why he needed to go back to Roma for treatment. He hasn't played since October & the club have barely said a word about it. The family issues have been well flagged as has the spec linking him with a move back to Italy (home sick)... seems a fair question to ask

Going in day in day out and not able to get himself fit was getting to him.

Being in a hotter country will help with his recovery too, I'm sure he will be back just a very tough time for him.
He's still just a youngster being 24, people seem to forget that.
