teams.
First off I am happy with the job Conte has done. Our record against teams below the top 6 is really incredible, I think the only points we've dropped were against Swansea. To be that consistent against the small teams is really important and yeah I think Conte deserves a lot of credit for that.
However our record against the top 6 isn't good enough. We've played I think 6 games against the top 6 and won 3 and lost 3. What's dissapointing as well is our performances against the other top 6. We were completely destroyed by Liverpool and Arsenal in those losses, they made us look like we were Hull City not Chelsea. Those games were humiliating to watch as a Chelsea fan. Against Tottenham in our loss to them they were the better team who outplayed us using our own system. And even in the wins our only convincing performance was vs Man Utd. We were dominated by Tottenham at SB before Pedro's goal out of nowhere and we were dominated by Man City at Etihad before we scored again.
I know we're top now but it we lose to Arsenal and Liverpool again our gap will be really small and it could disappear completely. I really hope Conte can sort Chelsea out and avenge the humiliations of the results in September.
Conte needs to improve his record vs top 6

Wahl is right. If anything, I'd say Conte actually needs to improve his overall record. We'd be in a better position if we never lost or drew.

Changing to a system that has natural advantages in manpower and that we're fit enough to maintain is the difference between September and now.
More so than any opponents this year our biggest threat is potential injury and/or fatigue setting in. We have a few points in this setup where due to lack of squad depth we suffer from a footballing equivalent of Hooke's law. If Kante goes down, so does the system. If Luiz goes down, the system hangs by a thread. If Costa goes down, we need to hastily make adjustments. And if Alonso & Moses begin to tire towards the season's end, we open up a backdoor for opposition. But if all these load baring players remain fit and strong, we have a system in place that'll beat any team in the PL.
I remember a comment from someone on this site awhile back in a thread comparing Conte & Allegri who gave an analogy, they said Conte is the manager to build your house and Allegri is the interior designer. Having watched us evolve this season and Allegri's Juventus side on occasion I completely get what they were saying
