Punching above our weight

No Santi Cazorla for the season which is as detrimental to the team as City losing De Bruyne, Chelsea losing Kante or Spurs losing Alli.

Having to develop the kids Iwobi and Bellerin.

Having to find game time for Oxlade Chamberlain.

Living with paying Theo £100k per week to raise a young family.

Having a £9 million, Ligue 1 centre forward.

Having to wait for Granit "Im banned again" Xhaka to learn his lesson.

Yet topped the CL group and on the tail of the PL leaders?

Impressive!

No chance. Wouldn't swap them in a million years. And I don't recall a time this season when Wanyama has avoided a dead cert red card. Not all players are as dirty as Xhaka and Coq!
=======
Wanyama got three reds last season, Coquelin has one in his entire Arsenal career

Wanyama should have been sent off v Stoke and Arsenal this season.

And a lead which nobody will pull back.
--------------------
I have Chelsea down to lose against Liverpool away, lose against Arsenal at home, and draw against Burnley away in their next three.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you have them down with the bookies.

Chelsea would be something like 6/4 to lose to Liverpool,

4/1 on a draw with Burnley

And probably 9/4 on Arsenal to win,

So that means if you bet £20 on all three results, you will lose £20.

Can any Arsenal fan say, with a straight face, that they are surprised that Walcott being hurt AGAIN is a surprise? If Wenger insists on holding onto this guy, then the supporters should insist that he have a competent back-up for this very injury-prone player!

I'm not really getting why Coquelin is being discussed in this particular thread. There's been nothing average average about his performances in the DM role since the day he got put there. I've no doubt that Coq is the reason we never bothered going for Kante. And rightly so, Kante gets about but Coq is the better player at this time. He improved us as a team massively also. I'm pretty sure as well that since being moved, he's dominated the leagues MF defensive stats.

Add all of that to the fact he takes a good kicking in matches yet unlike you average gunner he's fit to play most of the season. He's nothing less than top draw. I think he doesn't get the credit due purely because he's playing at a time when France are ridiculously strong in his position so he can't break into the national team. It's hardly any criticism to say he can't get ahead of Matuidi or Verrati.

Yeah but what about the fact that Verratti is Italian and Coquelin doesn't get a look in ahead of Kante, a player he's supposedly better than?
