The boys are back in town

So get the boys back complete with four goals in three games between them.

Do they walk straight into the team?
Who gets hooked to make way for them ?
Finally does Rock Ron Z come in for Kasper ?

I agree with attack attack attack but they're not the players to do it in my opinion, it's been tried and it doesn't work anymore.

Our best shot for any kind of turn in results is to play to Slimani's strengths, he's a goal scorer and the one player we can actually create chances for.

According to Facebook we've signed Ramirez and if that's the case then I'd play him on the left with Albrighton right and Mahrez behind Slimani.

The problem is that it hasn't been tried this season!!

I can't agree that the personnel are incapable of getting goals when we simply haven't looked motivated enough with any personnel. Get stuck in more and you can force mistakes from the opposition rather than trying to score perfect goals.

What you mean is we've not tried it with Ndidi yet, the others have had plenty of opportunities. Unless Ndidi can come in and do exactly what Kante did, Mahrez can overcome being doubled or tripled up on and Vardy can find some space behind then yeah it will work but that's not going to happen and you're kidding yourself if you think that's the formula for us to improve.

We need to do something different and now we have the options to play to different strengths. The ball over the top isn't working and we're failing to create anything for Vardy. Mahrez is being nullified out wide and any threat he posed last season has been diminished. We need our most creative and dangerous player to be able to influence games and to do that he needs to be in the middle. It makes us a lot less predictable and teams can no longer just set up to sit deeper to stop Vardy and nullify Mahrez.

Whether you rate Slimani or not his scoring record with his head is phenomenal and if that's not a big enough indicator of his strengths then I don't know what is? With Albrighton we have one of the best crossers in the league and Slimani one of the best with his head in the world so surely this is something we need to use to our advantage?

The balls Albrighton whips in from that right hand side are going to provide Slimani with chances, it's inevitable. Every game since he's been on the right he's delivered at least two or three real quality crosses but Slimani has only played against West Ham and well we know he scored from an Albrighton cross. He'll continue to deliver crosses and Slimani has the ability as a centre forward to make the right runs into the box to get on the end of them as he has proven by the amount of goals he's scored from crosses in his career. It's not luck like you think and balls just land on his nose, you should look at the runs he makes to get into the position for it to be on his nose, that's natural ability.

Same back four with maybe Chilwell instead of Fuchs because he was woeful at Southampton, Ndidi (hoping he can replicate Kante) and Drinky in the middle, Albrighton right with Ramirez left and Mahrez behind Slimani. Get the ball wide early or through the middle early to Mahrez and attack. Ramirez and Mahrez can also switch to give the defence something else to think about.

For me it's about using the players we have and making sure that we get the best out of those players, it's the only way it's going to work. Ultimately though the key is getting back the fight and desire, the pure passion to win or at least not lose but to do that we also need to play in a system that the players feel comfortable in so that they get back some confidence.

It will probably be a redundant argument with Slimani as he's unlikely to be risked even if he is fit, which seems doubtful. I'd be surprised if Mahrez were to feature as well.

So if we're reverting back to what we know then Mersey's team would appear as good as any. I'm not convinced by Gray, but then I'm also not yet convinced by Musa. But I'm sure that team can score. It's just a case of form and belief.

COE - you think we've gone out and attacked, attacked, attacked in the last few weeks????

I think you miss my point completely, it's not about personnel or to a degree systems but intent to go all out, get in their faces, make them make a mistake and capitalise on it.

If we sit back and let our 'quality' show through against Derby we might just find we have the quality of a mid table Championship team and suffer the consequences!

No I don't think we've attacked but with those players I just don't see us creating anything even if we do attack.

Considering the Owner has instructed CR to ignore the FA Cup and CL to concentrate totally on avoiding relegation I wonder what team we will put out?
