How do you solve a problem like Emre Can?

Can has had a lot of deserved scrutiny recently, but why? What changed? What happened to him being a key player?

Well from what I've seen from him recently, he seems to be all over the place. I've seen him darting up the left wing, the right wing and just about everywhere to be honest. I mean isn't this guy supposed to be a deep lying Midfielder?

And more to the point whether he is in his natural position or just about anywhere on the pitch he seems to want to dribble his way out of trouble and has become very prone to losing the ball.. And isn't this type of play that Klopp criticizes Sturridge for?

At least with Sturridge he's highly likely to either score or assist, but Can is just losing the ball in key areas!

Playing these 3 reminds me when we used to play Lucas and Masch together... A complete borefest with zero creativity..

I just don't see how we can win games playing Wijnaldum, Hendo and Can in the same team? Esp while Mane is out!

One needs to be dropped for a striker and the one to go has to be Can at this moment in time. I'm not saying sell or get rid, but he needs to play his way back into the team.

As much as I love Klopp, he does Baffle me sometimes with his thought patterns.

His form has been poor for sure. But I think people forget how young he is. He just turned 23 last week. Kevin Stewart is older then him. Also he is going through contract talks and whether we like it or not that usually messes with a players head on the field.

To be honest he need a kick up the arris, not a hug. He's not an inexperienced player by any stretch. And he can't be classe as an up and coming youngster.

How were Gerrard and Carra Fowler McManaman and Owen doing at 23? Pretty damn good......

Do you reckon Juventus has turned his head if they sent scouts the other week and that's why he isn't right? All the rags are reporting we've sent people to discuss a deal with William Carvalho as well tonight. 99.9% of both could be total bollox like but just saying

Forget the William Carvalho bit, just read that they were there for Markovic and it's a load of ßhite

Can's performances had taken a dip long before there was any mention of Juve. Deep down I'd say he is a good player, but he needs to be taken out of circuit for a few games. The potential is there, but he's regressing. If he were injured, or if he's carrying an injury, he'd be taken out.

I watched him come on in an international, I think against Italy. He really did look out of class then, and I haven't seen him play much better since.

He frustrates the life out of me. He needs one touch too many and constantly slows play down. I'd play a midfield three of Henderson, Gini and Lallana.

If you put him on the market now there would be no end of top clubs interested because he's good a huge skill set and is a pacey big lad as well as being versatile. I reckon he's going to be a big player for us and I hope he signs a long deal.

Not seen much of your sude lately, but here is my tuppence worth.

If your midfield three are a bit flat, you need to supplement the front three from fullback. Clyne is out isnt he? It may be Moreno would have to come in and Milner to move to RB

Im not saying any player is indispensable but there's far more areas for concern than an insanely talented problem like Emre Can.

I totally agree. takes far too long to release the ball. and doesn't look like he's seeing the great option, jsut that he doesn't see that a fast 15 yard pass can be better than carrying the ball to within 5 yards of a player then laying it off
