I can never get into these laugh at other teams thoughts, in my view it has a habit of coming back to bite you in the rear way too often.

Last night reminded me of the City game at the weekend.

Both City and Liverpool dominated possession and should have been out of sight by half time, yet we came back from 2-0 down and Liverpool lost to a late goal.

Spurs have had similar games in recent years as I recall, dominating games completely and either losing them or us getting a late equaliser.

Thats what I like about the game, its unpredictability.

This latest set back has meant that Liverpool have had a poor start to 2017, with only a marginal win against Plymouth in their favour.

How will this affect them going forward? It will either spur them on a winning run or it could continue its present course of poor results.

Tbf though, a poor run of form will tend to be worse for Liverpool at the mo than us as their squad is considerably weaker. The fact that they are so high up in the league is credit to Klopp.

I would stipulate that you watched the wrong game if you thought it was in anyway comparible with our fixture vs City.

The fact that Redmond put 3/4 on a plate for his teammates first half is one indication. Plus Sturridge missed his boatload of chances second half.
