After a nightmare week and two cup exits we are left with just 16 fixtures for the rest of the season. Chelsea are long gone and I don't think we are good enough to stay on pace with Arsenal and Spurs which will leave us battling with the Manchester clubs. Both Manchester clubs are likely to be playing 2 games a week quite frequently.
The remaining fixtures are:
V Chelsea (H)
V Hull (A)
V Spurs (H)
V Leicester (A)
V Arsenal (H)
V Burnley (H)
V Man City (A)
V Everton (H)
V Bournemouth (H)
V Stoke (A)
V West Brom (A)
V C Palace (H)
V Watford (H)
V Southampton (H)
V West Ham (A)
V M'boro (H)
How many wins do we need to fend of the Manchester clubs? 10 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats is my guess.
Watch us beat Chelsea tomorrow and then slip up at Hull. We have a number of banana skins but could Mane and Matip really make the difference. Stats are in there favour.

I think you'll be fine for top 4.
Be boring to see so few games as a fan though.

Yes, Pochettino doesn't do cups. They were very lucky yesterday. But I can see them dropping out of both competitions (FA cup & Europa League). He knows that he doesn't have the squad to compete on more than one competition. So, he is more interested in securing top 4. CL gives them extra revenue.

We've seen already that with time between games to rest / prepare we have generally been very good on the day, it helps with the style we play having as much of a break between games. Would obviously help any team.
So I'm just hoping we can stop the rut tomorrow v Chelsea and get a result, a win would be great, then take it game by game for the rest of the season and see where we end up.
to be honest with onyl 16 games left to play, and all our rivals in the top 6 playing in Europe bar Chelsea we really should be able to secure a top 4 finish.
What this run of losses / draws has shown us is we really struggle once we've to play a lot of games, I hope this makes Klopp and the board realize we need to buy 4-5 players who can come into the first 11 and not make it much weaker than our strongest 11.

I think we'll get 4th and if so that's a good enough season imo. The problem is next season. Give credit to Klopp, he's fully explored the squad now so he must know we don't have enough depth. In order to do anything in the league and Europe next season we need to be bringing in a considerable number of players in the summer imo, including at least 2 first teamers.

If that runs of results pans out over the next few games, i think it'll be the end of days on the liverpool board.

Our last 9 games are as good as you can get really.
Only Palace out of those teams are likely to have anything to play for, maybe Watford if they don't pick up some form.
The rest are going to be in no mans land.

There's been over a hundred articles about Liverpool by rival fans. One day had 20 on the mancs board alone.
If this happens were going for the big 1k. Admin must be very happy as the site has suddenly become more active

No top 6 teams in our last 9 games.
6 or 7 wins minimum should see us do well provided we can knick points here and there during this run of bad form.
I'd take beating Chelsea and losing or drawing again at Hull. If we can beat our direct rivals in the remaining fixtures, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and City (which is an away game so even less likely) then we give ourselves a great chance even if overall form remains unsatisfactory.
Last season we hardly had good form but still managed to beat a lot of top teams or atleast avoid defeat.
