Axel Tuanzebe Signs New Deal

Axel Tuanzebe has signed a new contract at Manchester United which keeps him at the club until June 2020, with the option to extend for a further year.

Tuanzebe, 19, made his competitive first-team debut against Wigan Athletic last Sunday, having been nurtured through the Reds' Academy system from the age of eight.

Axel Tuanzebe said: "I have always been a Manchester United supporter so I am naturally delighted to have signed a new contract. To make my debut at Old Trafford in the FA Cup was a very proud moment, both for me and for my family.

"I am learning every day in training and it is also a great experience for me to now train with the first team. I would like to thank all of the coaches that I have worked with and I would especially like to thank the manager for giving me my debut for this great club."

Jose Mourinho added: "Axel is a young player with great potential. We brought him up to the first team to give him more experience and he has adapted really well. I am pleased that he has signed a new contract and I am delighted with the progress he is making."

An absolute marketing genius pulled off by the club. In the club shop we are stuck with thousands of unsold letter “X”, “Z” and “U”s. Making up a random name including these letters and giving it to a random man and saying he is a footballer is a sensational move by the club to get these letters offloaded and generate more profit. The Chinese will see the letter “X” in his name and really relate to it and buy 4 or 5 shirts each just because of this. Really good stuff.

I can only see this angering Stretty as this lad clearly isn't world class.

I wonder how many years he'll go on loan for.

So when are we selling him?

Even though Axel was always my favourite character on Streets of Rage!

^^ This, if located ironically, is probably one of the more succinct contributions on these boards.

Kinda tired of seeing ret@rded numpties constantly harping on about the latest graduate of a, failing, academy being better, or more potentially great, than reality suggests is likely. Seen it all too often recently with the likes of welbeck, januzaj, rashford et al.

I expect that sort of nonsense from arsenal fans who seem to have once held copyright on the phrase "best (fill in position/role) in the world", but not from fans of a club as well grounded as United
