The title is sewn up.... or is it?

I'm not one for getting on he band wagon of thinking the title is won, the title isn't won until the team that's second is mathematically unable to catch the team in first. Hence the title is still wide open.

There is something that I feel about this Chelsea team and that is they are not trustworthy after what they pulled last season. Only Alonso, Moses and Kante are different but the main attitudes and personalities are there... that's why, even after some continuous brilliant performances and results it's still stuck in the back of my mind.

We were poor yesterday and I do feel that if we had been better we would have won, but, we started well, got our goal and then the mentality worried me, it was like that of last year where we thought we were alright. We weren't and got punished and then we threw everything at it but played right into their hands.

I hope we win the league, but I'm still fairly unconvinced if I'm honest... anyone else feel this way?

Two CL games sandwitched between the PL games. We know what happened when they were doing so early in the season.

Anyways, I have not seen any sign of our form dipping to suggest that we're going suffer deafeats in future. The games yestersay was difficult against a side with an excelent home record

Yeah nothing to do with the fact that we're the 6th highest wage spenders in the league and the teams that regularly win the title (Chelsea/City/Utd) are top 3 wage spenders

That has absolutely nothing to do with it I suppose

Bottlers always come up with excuses...

Leicester didn't look for excuses, they kept their mouth shut and won the title.

Come end of May: Curses, referees, injuries and luck are all to blame for Spurs missing out, not their fault at all. Next season will be different though, they are better than Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal really, they just didn't show it this year, or the year before that, or the year before that....

You did bottle it last season. Everything about Spurs as a club is bigger than Leicester, that was your best opportunity to win the PL since it's inception, there is no excuse.

The problem you'll find rising this topic on a Chelsea portion of a forum is we're consistently told by large quantities of your fans that Spurs are bigger than us - so going by the standards Spurs seem to set for themselves in our minds, either you know that's horsesh!t or you do bottle it year in year out?

I happen to agree with you in the sense Spurs have punched above their weight for years and to a degree only choke to the extent at failing to achieve more than they should do factoring in their limitations. Except for last season when you were given your break and didn't seize it.
