Relegation candidates.....

Yes it's only mid february, but there is a certain look about the bottom of the table.
For me it's a five way tie as to who drops

16 Middlesbrough 25 4 10 11 19 27 -8 22
17 Leicester City 25 5 6 14 24 43 -19 21
18 Hull City 25 5 5 15 22 49 -27 20
19 Crystal Palace 25 5 4 16 32 46 -14 19
20 Sunderland 25 5 4 16 24 46 -22 19

BORO...Least likely to go Palace Stoke Sunderland & Burnley next 4 &
Oxford in the FA Cup
Karanka 52% win ratio will see them ok

LEICESTER - currently an absolute cert to go...utterly without belief & commited the cardinal sin of not strengthening after an unbelievable title season
Will be totally annialated in the CL this month & this won't help their league cause

HULL - worst goal deficit currently, - got Burnley Leicester Swansea Everton & West Ham up next, struggled with injuries all season
Marco Silva (The new Jose) may well rally them round

PALACE - just shocking this term Allardyce brought in to stem the flow, the relegation saviour has lost his touch since the England debacle, their front men are not turning up at all
Any side that can lose to Sunderland at home 0-4 cannot be taken seriously

SUNDERLAND - Any side that beats Palace by 4 away & loses the next week at home by 4 again cannot be taken seriously, - Moyes since getting slaughtered as United manager has not been the same solid boss he was at Everton
Defoe at 35 odd has basically single handedly got them the points they do have

my three to go
Leicester
Sunderland
Palace

feel free to comment/disagree as you see fit

Boro
Palace
Sunderland

I think Leicester will score enough goals to keep themselves up, something which Midds really struggle with, and Silva's Hull look well-disciplined and will pick up some good results.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leicester haven't scored a single league goal in 2017, I watched them the other day against Swans as well and they were toothless. Add the fact they're poor defensively and they look certs for relegation.

Only Sunderland are certs IMO.

There's going to be one hell of a scrap come April.

Boro will be safe, whilst they have a paucity of goals upfront they are also the best defensively of the bottom 5, conceding the least goals.

Hull will be safe I think, Silva actually seems to have them playing really well and they have picked up some important points against big teams. Even against Arsenal at the weekend it wasn't a comfortable win.

Sunderland, time is up for them really, Defoe can't save them again I don't think.

Leicester are the surprise I think, even losing Kante I expected them to be mid table at worst but I think it's gone beyond that. this is the reality of where they should be. Unless the players start showing up they will be for the drop.

Palace, just not scoring enough goals and they don't seem to have had the new manager bounce that you usually get. Letting Bolasie go to Everton may prove their downfall.

Sunderland - Been poor all season and where did that 0-4 at Palace come from. Nailed on

Hull - Started ti improve and pick up points but lack quality.

Palace - Deserve to go down hiring Fat Sam after his England fiasco - should have been banned from football for 5 years.

They have the embarrassment of being striped by Sevilla yet in the CL too

I thought Leicester would be fine a couple of months back, but they look like a side feeling the pressure.

Them, Palace and Boro are my gut instinct at the minute

sure its only 5 to go?

i'm not really all that sure.

bournemouth are shocking and swansea only recently improved

Yes the others have less points granted

my view:

Boro are well organised at the back but disasterous up front thus far. Sides like this struggle but they wil be in the fight on last day i think

Leicester. shocking at back and players not too bothered up top. yet more than capable if they actually try. I can see them winning 5 in a row again and surviving. unfortunately LFC play then this month and i wish we had the 3 points already.

Hull: look a decent side under new manager. I could see them take 9 points in next 3.It close

Palace. what a joke. loads of players and can't get it together. they have every thing needed to go on a run but have thus far been useless. their players want shooting.

Sunderland... a joke. can nick a goal but are leaking all over the place and sold their cb too.

So I would say as of now theres still a lot to play for. I just feel sunderland will go in last place. I have a feeling bournemouth and boro will be fighting on the last day with leicester. I therefore think ok palace to go... that might be wishful thinking though.

I'd want palace out...can't be doing with them...the others...not fussed

Sunderland deserve to go down.

They didn't sign M'Villa last January to try and save 5m. Ended up losing out on him when he was available on a free . Also lost Yedlin, who I thought always looked good, without a real fight.

Hardly improved the squad that summer even though they had injuries and a thin squad.

Moyes then came in and declared they were in a relegation battle.

It was at that moment I said to a mate at work who supports Sunderland, looks like they're planning to go down already, no signings, Moyes with the white flag preparing the fans for the worst.

But did add the caveat it depends who they sign.

Can't blame Moyes really. And in Jan they sell PVA and you knew they were trimming the wage bill and preparing for life in the Championship.

For that, they deserve to go down, IMO.

Chairman has downed tools and facked off already.

Shinjury

Sunderland are shoit every single season, without fail. No respite.

Going down will probably serve them well to be honest, much like Newcastle will benefit from their spell down
