The thing is, people rave over Neville and Carragher. How clued up they are.

However, Gary Neville was heavily involved in the England debacle, and was absolutely bobbins at Valencia, an embarrassment.

It's pretty hard to judge neville at valencia when you see how bad they have been over the last three years. They're in a relegation scrap this season and have only just moved out of the bottom 3. It's a terrible club.

Yes, terrible but made much worse once Gary's legendary management and motivational skills were applied.

I personally think gerrard is actually worse than carragher.

It seems that I am in the minority by actually liking the scouse accent.

Ok, the little scallys sound daft but the real scouse accent is brilliant.

Valencia seem to be the Spanish Newcastle these days.

Lurch from one crisis to another irrespective of who manages or plays for them.

Nah. If you take his last Liga record whilst there he'd have had them in 15th. If you add his cup record he won 10 and drew 7 of his 27 games. Not great but better than a lot of recent valencia managers.

While i agree that Valencia and England doesn't look good on Nev's CV, greatteams is right in saying he isn't Valencia's worst manager, it was the wrong job anyway, sh*t club and doesn't speak the language, it was never going to be a success.

With England, he was the number two, so how much say did he really have on the first team, specifically styles of play, defensive set-up etc? Watching England's clueless performance at the WC and Euros was reminiscent of Hodgson's Liverpool, which should tell us something...

Jimmy Case and Ronnie Goodlass on Radio Merseyside are both painful to listen to.
