Squad for next season

GK - Ospina, Szczesny, Martinez
Cech has declined and isn't much of a leader, not sure he has much influence in the dressing room which was one of the reasons we got him. Let Ospina/Szcz fight for the no.1 spot.

RB - Bellerin
Jenkinson and Debuchy need to go, sign a cheap reliable experienced back up.

LB - Gibbs, Monreal
Gibbs was poor last night but still rate him more than Monreal. We can upgrade but not a priority.

CB - Kos, Mustafi, Chambers
Bring back Chambers and loan out Holding. Get rid of Mertesacker and Gabriel, sign a tall, aggressive, dominant CB to partner Kos. Mustafi is decent but not top drawer, he could still improve.

CM - Coq, Elneny, Xhaka, Santi, Wilshere
Can't stand Ramsey anymore, he's got a massive ego ever since 13/14. Sell Ozil and go back to 4-3-3 but depends on what tactics the new manager has. Xhaka has potential, he is a classy player but not adapted to the pace of the game yet. A midfield 3 would get the best out of Coq/Xhaka and help us control games with Santi/Wilshere alongside them. We can still strengthen but if we get luck with injuries these players can complement each other well.

Wingers - Sanchez, Perez, Iwobi
Theo and Ox have had enough time here already, we could regret letting Ox go but just can't be ar5ed with him anymore. Buy a world class wide player someone like Reus.

Strikers - Giroud, Welbeck
Welbeck can play wide too, Sanchez can play behind the striker sometimes. We need to get a quality striker and keep Giroud as plan B.

Players out
Cech, Jenkinson, Debuchy, Gabriel, Mertesacker, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott, Ox.

We could get 40-50m for those and around 700k off the weekly wage bill

Coq is a Charlton loanee who cost us 50 pence.

Vidal is a £35 million Chilean.

Who in their right mind thought we had a chance last night?

Its a miracle we're in the tournament at all.

Coq's stats for tackles and interceptions have been up there with the best in the league since he's been in the team and he's been solid and consistent until recently. We can do better but signing 6 or 7 first teamers in one window isn't gonna happen.

Ox has massive potential but he's weak mentally, been here 6 years now and we're still waiting for him to take off. We need to be more ruthless with players who don't deliver. maybe keep him with Santi and Wilshere being injury liabilities.

Disagree almost entirely with the CM options.

None of Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny or Ramsey are good enough to be in the starting XI of a side aiming for titles. Sell at least two of them, keep the other two as squad members.

Bring Wilshere in - though I suspect he'll ask to leave in the summer, tempted by better money at a club better placed to compete than Arsenal - and partner him with a player with genuine character, that has a dedicated role within the side. Enough of these totally bland, jack-or-all-trade, but actually square-pegs-at-everything types.

Left back is a definitely priority. Following a couple of decent seasons, Monreal has not been up to it this time out. Gibbs should have been let go last summer. Next summer he must be sold.

Laughably, at the start of the season I felt we had one of the strongest depths for the GK role. Now here we are, some of us actually considering Szczesny as an option for next season.

Sell Ospina, make Cech fight it out with Martinez for a place on the bench, and sign someone who can actually cover his area without the aid of a piggy back or a mobility scooter.

Would also love to see left wing and CB positions strengthened too, but the three positions mentioned are of higher priority for me, and will take a lot of money to do so.

However, I suspect we'll see at least one major sale next summer, so add the funds from that to the semi-decent fee we should get for Ramsey (ha!) and maybe work can be done there too.

Our main problem now though is, top players just are not going to be attracted to a club that has been allowed to stagnate for as long as Arsenal has, meaning our best chance of doing any of the above is by replacing the manager first.

Maybe not needing to make that decision will be Wenger's parting gift to us...

Sanchez is leaving mate.

I know he got a knock on Monday, but Wilshere manages a load of games for Bournemouth without problems. If I were him I would think of going as well for his health.

With this team, same old sh--te next season. Not very imaginative team selection really.

It's very likely Sanchez and Ozil will leave in the summer.
To that I would add Ramsey, Sanogo, Jenkinson, Debuchy, Walcott and Per. That lot will generate at the very least £80million. Add another £70 and rebuild the team.

You'd get over £120million for those guys.

My conservative estimate of the value of our players who could possibly be sold in the Summer:

Cech Free or nominal fee
Gibbs £5m-£8m
Monreal £3m-£5m
Debuchy £2m-£3m
Mert Free or nominal fee
Gabriel £8-£10m
Jenkinson £5m-£8m
Coq £10m-£15m
Ramsey £20m-£25m
Walcott £20m-£25m
Wilshere £25m-£30m
Ox £20m-£25m
Ozil £35m-£45m
Sanchez £45m-£65m

I know it's highly unlikely that we'd sell all of these. However, If we did we'd not only free up cash from our wage bill but also raise around £150m-£200m.

To be honest out of all those players the only one that I'd be truly gutted if he left would be Sanchez. I'd prefer Wilshere and perhaps Ozil to remain as well but neither would be a massive loss
