Charly Musonda

Was the stand out performer against Man City reserve team. Scored one and was a constant threat to their defense.

Musonda is known for his quick feet and pace and he displayed it as he ran at City’s defence. He has pace to burn and he gave City right-back Duaney numerous problems with his trickery.

Conte has shown faith in Chelsea’s youth system with Chalobah, Cheeky and Aina involved in the Premier League and the cup competitions this season.

Conte said yesterday at the press conference ahead of the FA cup clash away at Molineux : "He's working very hard and working very well in the training session but also needs supplementary work with the physical coach.

If Chelsea wrap the league title up with games to spare then he could well be used in the final few games. He is one of the most talented youngsters, I wouldn't be surprised to seem involved in Conte’s squad in future.

However, it’s not going to be easy to get time on the pitch with Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard ahead of him.

Is there a possibilty that Musonda could feature in the first team in the coming fixtures, either FA cup or Premier League ?

Is this the one who was on loan at betis? If so he's a brilliant little player amd should be playing first team football somewhere

^Yeah, disappointed we don't seem to have anyone like that coming through our own youth-set-up. Desperately need a direct wideman.

Weird he didn't go out on loan second half of season..

Not sure about him. Could be another Kakuta

I think if he was at say Arsenal he'd be making regular appearances. Not sure he'll be given a chance anytime soon. With one game a week and Hazard, Willian, Pedro and RLC ahead of him I can't see him featuring this season. A loan next season is on the cards.

He is still young, with bags of pontential. I reckon he will be a squad player next season. Especially if Chelsea are to compete on all fronts next season he will be needed for sure.

Why is it every one on here wants to see our best young players loaned out all the time!

Don't think many of us want that Brums, it's just the precedent set by the club.

Really? Seems every article put about about an academy player and half a dozen posters are advocating them being loaned out!

The kid has undoubted talent but he has the body of a fourteen year old girl. He needs to bulk up a little, which is what Conte has already said, without losing too much of his trickery and pace. Double down in training, learn from Hazard, Willian and Pedro, players who have actually done something with their careers and be patient.

He could go out again on loan but Betis binned him after a managerial change and he was left to rot on the bench. After a certain point, we should be keeping our potential stars close to the first team, get them learning the systems that Conte wants to play and understanding their roles so they can be called upon at the right moment.

Of late we've also seen our players, who are out on loan, talking about not wanting to return to Chelsea. You've heard it from Christensen and Musonda this season and we've always had problems with Teebo ever since he fell in love with Spain.

Yeah, he might but thats why Arsenal haven't won anything in a decade.
