March fixtures

Assuming we get past St Ettiene here are our March games...

March 4 - Bournemouth home
March 9 - Europa last 16 first leg
March 12/13 - Chelsea away (FA Cup)
March 16 - Europa last 16 second leg
March 19 - Boro away

International break until home game with West Brom on April 1st.

Not the worst set of fixtures from a crowded calendar perspective. Hope we play strong sides in all of those games. Luckily Ibra gets a two week break.

Competely forgot about that, Biggish.

Penalty win vs Chelsea would be funny for nostalgic reasons.

I think it will be a very cagey game. We will want to make sure we aren't blown away after 30 secs this time. Can see it being won in extra time, probably by Chelsea as we'll tire.

If our players aren't playing qualifiers they should not bother going for the international games.

Sadly it doesn't work like that.

The good news is that there is no replay in the QF's so if you draw at SB it won't give you another fixture

I'd have preferred a replay as opposed to 120 minutes and pens at SB.

The game comes on the back of a European game (probably) less than 3 days earlier, and another European game a few days later.

It might be that we have a difficult, tight 1st leg Europa game with our 1st choice team, play most of the 1st team against Chelsea and are then left with a difficult decision about going with a potentially weaker team in the 2nd leg of the Europa.

Our end to the season is absolutely brutal. Literally going to be a cup final size game most weekends. And if we're still in Europe it will serve as a massive advantage to our opponents.

But would we rather be out of europe and all cups and just playing for top 4? No we wouldn't. Just got to get on with it and have a go.
