Imagine if Wengers tenure at Arsenal had started
in the 70s or 80s and lasted 21 years.
Imagine the honours the same as now.I dont think
there would be anywhere near as much comotion as
there is now regarding his job.In fact any one with
banners would have been ridiculed.
At what point did football fans conciousness
get in such a state that the most successful manager
in the clubs history is spoken about with such contempt.
Chelsea sack managers even though they win the
CL but its not enough. Despite there being a time
when they went 23 games without a win and didnt sack
anybody(1988)

Bertie Mee virtually transformed the club in late sixties/early seventies, and even he left five years after winning the double after form deteriorated.

You won't get a Reading or Wigan, Hull or Villa, to win the Cup this season.
