Didn't we beat them at the start of the season with a 2 man midfield?

I can't rightly remember.

I recall Mhkitaryan coming on in the second half and causing them no end of troubles.

Did we go with Herrera and Pogba, behind Rooney, Martial and Rashford/Mata?

Romero only played against Northampton I think.

But he's had a great season so far. Only two goals conceded in eight games, and we've won every one of those matches, I think.

Granted, the opposition he's faced hasn't been top drawer, but he's made some good saves - particularly in one-on-ones, and his handling has been great, as has his distribution.

It might be the only final we play in this season, and I'd give him the start to reward him for his contributions in the three cup comps.

Can't agree with you there. It may be our only cup final as you said so we need to go with our best team. Romero is a decent keeper but not on De Gea's level.

Romero will probably play tomorrow. Can't see Jose not paying De Gea 4 games in a row.

I'm not suggesting that Romero is a better keeper (because I'm not actually mental); but there's an argument to say he's been as good as DDG so far this season.

I don't think he's committed as many errors, for one.

I agree with Rosso but DDG has had to play a lot more games. It's easier to be consistent in a handful of matches.
