Amazing statistics. People will say oh that's because he was in France and of course that's a contributing factor but doesn't want tell the whole story.
He actually didn't become a really prolific striker really until towards his late 20's and has seemed to have become more prolific as the years have gone on. Even at PSG his last season was by far his best goals wise and he has continued his highly prolific form for us.
Amazing stuff. Can't remember many players doing anything like he is doing at the age of 35.
It's so great to have him at the club but it makes you wonder what could have been if we had gone for him years ago.
Why weren't we in for him when he joined Milan on loan initially from Barca and then sold for a knock down price? We could be sitting here with two more titles if we had.
Anyway I remember a few fans and pundits writing him off after his barren spell at the beginning of the season but I said he just needs one goal and he'll be back and that it would be a bigger worry if games were passing him by. Low and behold he scored and has got 18 in 20 since.
Really hope he signs the one year extension.

Zlatan can only do it in weak tippy tappy leagues like El Ligo, Series A, League one and the EPL. Absolutely no chance he could do it in the much more physical, fast paced Scottish Prem. He would get BULLIED. My nan could score in the English Prem, it’s that unphysical. He looks like a man playing in an under 10s match in England. In Scotland he’s look like a little girl trying to play netball in a rugby match. Just look at Barton, aced it down in England then came up to the Scotch league and couldn’t hack it. Went back down crying to the mediocre prem. Do it in a proper league mate, I dare you.

In the OP the suggestion was that 'yeah but it is only France', i pointed out that English sides had beaten French ones twice in the last twelve meetings

This is wrong anyway, but it's a bit of a pointless thing to bring up with regard to Zlatan's scoring record against the rest of France when about 8 of those games in that sequence are against facking PSG.

I'd describe them as efficient at the moment. The draw against Ayr was numbing, in the sense that it was a sheite performance on the pitch and brass monkeys in the stand.
