It's been great to see the crowds returning to Elland Road this season. Last season it really was a pain to go to a home game - didn't we score something ridiculous like 13 goals at home over the whole season? - and another season like that would have been very damaging for our club and fan base.
But got me thinking that our biggest crowds this season haven't seen the best games. In order: Newcastle, Rotherham, Cardiff, Villa, and Huddersfield (28k against the minnows is pretty impressive). Villa was the only good performance and even then it took till late on to click.
We know our fan base can expect too much at times, and when there are 30k + fans there, it's a Premier League ground. Can our players handle the pressure of a full Elland Road when some of them were playing for small teams last season?
Can our team handle a big crowd?

2nd half against Rotherham was a great performance.
I I think the crowd can spur them on. make them get into the game more. I think because we start games slowly the crowd can end up pretty quiet to start with.
Elland Road is slowly becoming a fortress again and will be the " 12th man "

atmosphere for derby was fantastic.
i thought for the period of WACCOE in that game after half time, the fans carried the team through and they embraced it. was brilliant derby just seemed shell shocked.
harder for the opposition surely.

Derby game was our best performance of the season easily.

Rotherham first half was awful though. Derby was great, everything came together. Was 25k though

Would really like to see a high energy/tempo in the opposition faces approach against Wednesday similar to when we had Derby penned in to their own area. We may not get it but it's time we put in another really good performance and reminded the other clubs in or around top 6 that we are not going to go away.

I don't think we are going away but what does worry me is that we don't beta the teams around us leading in to the playoffs, because we may as well not bother come May.
We need to start playing like we know we can more often and against the big sides....playoffs are all about momentum and at the moment we wont be going up on current form.
Saturday is massive and it will go a long way to showing us how the season will pan out.

Not a question of can they but they must or our season will fizzle away.

I think the Team and GM are buying into it big time, more rapport with the Fans and the Fans really taking the Players to their hearts,
I was down for the Villa game at ER and it was awesome for a Sat evening kick off, especially the 2nd half .

Is it Leeds not performing to the crowd or the opponents raising their game for crowd and it nullifying Leeds trying to raise their game?
I would be coaching the players to be comfortable with the crowd and leveraging it. Remember booth toys coaching the players to use hand signals to communicate before play off final in Cardiff fir example because noise would be deafening.
