On a serious note I find it a bit strange that people think this is a good thing. Whoever replaces him is most likely not going to be as good, and definitely not as experienced, otherwise they'd already be a top ref, no? It's a thankless job being a referee. The game is so fast now that technology HAS to be used to help the officials.
