Ins and outs

Thinking about the team/squad for next season and its clear when you play a MF at LB (no matter how good he has been) and sometimes a MF at CB that we need more players. Also clear that Studge is way down the pecking order and other squad players are not quite good enough.

If it is CL next season, then do we really want rely on players like Lucas, Moreno, Mignolet, Sturridge, Stewart??? Now i am not saying get rid of all at once but we do need to replace them, Stewart is 24 he is no youngster so when do we play him? Studge is mentally gone regarding his body, doesnt trust it so for me needs replacing and the fact Moreno and Lucas rarely play sums it up for me; all look surplus to requirements. Migs is so inconsistent we all know we cannot rely on him.

A LB,DM,GK and Striker are must haves for me, as i said if it CL next seaosn then i do not want us lining up Vs Europes best with Moreno or Mignolet and Lucas anywhere near the team..they are a clear weakness Vs the top table players.

Players in i wouldnt mind a Wanyama, D rose and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang types; they are out there just need to find them. Get those type of players and we CAN rest players and cope with the CL AND Prem.

Apparently Julian Brandt is our top target.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If some unproven 20 year old is our top target then I will be worried
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you consider to be proven?

He's played (or will have by the summer) 100 games in the Bundesliga with a decent team. He's played at every level for the German national side and is now a full international, not bad considering the talent they have.

Other teams don't have an issue with taking players of such experience. Utd signed Rooney after only 60'ish games and Ronaldo after he'd only played 25 in the Portuguese league.

Bringing it slightly more up to date, Pep and City thought that Sane (half the number of Bundesliga games) was proven enough. As they did when they brought Sterling off us - he had about the same experience as Brandt.

If the talents there then it's there. And I trust Klopp's views on him and contacts in German football. The only risk is our fans expecting him to be Suarez'esk from day 1.

Jorgen likes to get his type of players in and develop them. He isn't a chequebook manager like Jose.

I'm sure you used to be a better WUM than this. Try harder or, at the very least, come up with a new line to spam threads with.

Very zen.

If a wum falls in JA606 and nobody picks it up, was it really a wum?

Who really cares, Jorgen isn't a chequebook manager is all that matters.

Sane and Sterling would not get in our team. Both have been very inconsistent and hit and miss.

I don't mind Brandt as a player and would love to get him as he does have talent but if you look at the main comment it mentioned that he was our top target.

I said if that "is" true then I will be concerned.
