Sevilla?

I just wonder if the game last night against Sevilla actually cost Claudio his Job.

He mentioned a few weeks ago the Chairman had told him to forget the FA cup and CL and concentrate on avoiding relegation.

He played his strongest team ( Musa debatable ) after resting most in the FA cup and they shone in the second half.

Did he go against orders and try too hard to progress on the European stage putting at risk League survival and it was the last straw for the owners who made the decision totally themselves between the two of them according to Rob Dorsett.

Don't think last night made any difference, think this decision was made after Millwall but left until after Seville.
Interesting that a fan in Seville said on radio that Ranieri was not on team coach last night.
All very sad , but really inevitable.

Personally, I think the loss and useless display against Swansea was the final nail.... He said his team would fight and they did nothing of the sought! Compounded with two more Sha T performances and two more losses? What an easy choice for the chairman to make?

I don't think it's much to do with the cups, it's the heading towards relegation that's done for him.

That's my point, I wonder if he was still putting too much into the CL against orders?

I was listening to Rob Dorsett reporting for Sky outside the KP just now (in response to Jamie Carragher). The players stayed behind following the Sevilla match and it was said some of the players were not satisfied with CR, his tactics and so-on. It was also reported there had been a breakdown between CR and Craig Shakespeare.

Are you surprised, Musa playing as a right sided defensive midfielder???

Ok then, no, if this is not the intended playing position for why he was brought to the club. Just to reiterate that I'm guided, in the main, by what is published on here through an inability to attend matches regularly. So,then, a 'breakdown' between the two frontmen. Are they both to blame, or does it all boil down to the boss?

Personally I put the majority of the blame on Ranieri, issues have been there all season.

I would like to think the forthcoming press conference will be 'lively'. Of course it's not going to be. Non-committal answers in response to 'searching' questions-a forgone conclusion. Shakey's body language may well be the key though.
