arrivederci Mr Ranieri

Fechking schumbags the board and owners at Leicester are in my opinion.

I just became aware of the news and what springs to mind was the failure of club strategy after last season.

They had a chance to build upon new fame and fortune after League success and the incoming fortunes of Champs League football.

What is evident is a lack of big time experience within the board and possibly in ownership to.

Rightfully the players and manager must face criticism but did they really have a chance this season???

what failure are you on about? they spent £70m over the summer, obviously they lost kante, but what were they meant to do? spend £200m on 6 new first xi players, effectively telling half the squad "well, we know you've just won the PL, but we don't think you're good enough"?

and as for "but did they really have a chance this season???" a chance of what? winning the PL again? winning the CL? making top 4? top 6? top half of the table?

did they have a chance of avoiding relegation? yep, and a lot better chance than they have now.

This

Did Mourinho receive this amount of sympathy after his sacking last season, for being in a better position than Leicester are now? Nope.

It's only because Ranieri is a nice guy that people are giving it the whole "atrocious/scandalous" patter.

End of the day Leicester have been far too easy to play against this season, across the board from the best teams to the poorest. Teams have them sussed now and he hasn't changed it.

Losing Kante was the biggest problem as he covered the defence, and midfield to some extent, and saved them a lot of work.

There were no signs of their form changing, last win was almost three months ago now so the board had to act.

He can't take all the glory for last season without being held responsible for this season.

The real shame is he will only pocket more than our collective incomes for being sacked
I might send him something to tide him over

well, it is one reason why my sympathy for sacked PL managers isn't endless, they are very well paid to succeed, and extremely well paid to fail (like investment bankers in fact)

and last summer they spent about the same as chelsea did on a gross basis, and more on a net basis, the summer after they won the league.

yet with jose everything was his fault, according to some on here everything at leicester this season was the players' fault.

dilly dong indeed.

Forget Jose and Utd

if their ever was a platform to transform your club and esp at a club like Leicester it certainly was at the back of Premier League success and European football involvement.

The transfer policy last year was mind boggling and it was clear as day that it was little old Leicester instead of premier league champions showing real intent.

the past two windows were a disgrace and all i saw was poor club management.

No marquee name to excite the fans after last years success despite having plenty to spend

and no strength and depth
