Vardy and Mahrez

All the talk is about CR and the players but 2 players who have escaped criticism is Vardy and Mahrez. these 2 players surprised everyone last season with their goals and performances yet they didn't replicate last year form to this season. I mean you're the champions of England, did probably the most impossible feat in football history, confidence should be sky high yet you sack your one manager who guided you to the title and are fighting relation this season.

Do I blame CR for their collapse? of course I don't. this season he's been almost consistent with same team bearing in mind they had CL this season but as last season chose same team week in week out. So many of their players vardy, Mahrez, drinkwater and morgan look out of form.

According to The Mirror, it was members of the squad that encouraged club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha to sack Ranieri.

The report claims the Italian’s ‘tinkering’ this season drove his side mad and made them believe he was unable to guide them to Premier League survival.

After the 3-0 home loss to Manchester United this month, a senior star reportedly went to the players lounge and declared: “That’s it, we don’t know what we are doing, we are ****ed."

For me the blame has to be put on Vardy and Mahrez, how many goals/assist do they have between them this season?

Fold the club and apologise to Ranieri.

The only way Leicester can be forgiven.

Mahrez, however I completely agree with, what the hell has happened to him?

They've tactically been very different though.

This is what I don't get, people seemingly aggrieved about someone losing their job despite not knowing enough about the situation to knowledgeably comment on it.

Thing is Mahrez is actually top quality. He should've left last summer when Kante left. Vardy too, since he's not getting an offer from a club like Arsenal again. But with Mahrez there's still a chance he can play for a top club.

Morgan and Huth were never going to be good enough without Kante

Huth and Morgan have been worse IMO and he's not dropped them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

they've really suffered with the tighter rules on holding at corners etc... last season they grappled like wrestlers at every set piece, this year they cant and they're all over the place
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah that's defo been a part of it but their overall game is at a much lower level too, neither are nearly as dominant as they were aerially, also neither seem as commanding or sure of themselves.

I guess they're both a year older and played the best football of their career last season and are now finding it difficult to get close to that level of performance.

Having said this they will probably be two rocks v us on Monday

Leicester's biggest error was to not strengthen the side...
in fact it's weaker without Kante
Mahrez has been sussed for the one footed, one trick pony he is
Half of the side are championship players who MASSIVELY over achieved last term

most of us had Leicester as top 10 at best this term, & out at group in the CL

In reality it should never have been able to happen last year...but it did

Some of the Leicester players completely lost their hunger, Mahrez looks like he's just punching his time card. Last season they gave 100% on every ball, and now they seem to thing they deserve to coast. It cost a good man his job, the players should hang their heads in shame, because they stabbed him in the back.

I wouldn't be too harsh on Vardy he's still giving his all whenever I've seen them this year. Average player who gives his all and had a hot streak last year. Gone back to being average now.

Although I did hear somewhere that his chance conversion rate is better than last season which says a lot about the players behind him.

Mahrez on the other hand is a talented player who looks like he could not be *rsed
