All Time World XI

Good hi,

I thought I’d make a good article to discuss an all time world XI combining the best players from the best teams at club and international level. Who would make yours?

We have had some outstanding club and international sides over the last 50 years or so, some with outstanding players in different positions, but rarely do you get the perfect team. You usually get a really good attacking side who have a poor defence, or a really solid defensive team who aren’t so good at putting the ball in the net. I thought I’d see if we could find this perfect formula of GK/Defence/Midfield/Attack to create the best side of all time.

Here are some examples of the world’s best ever teams by their strengths. As you can see below it is very rare to get that perfect combination of defence, midfield, attack:

Some unbelievable defences such as Milan 89/Italy 06/Juventus 15/Atletico Madrid 14/Dundee 17

Some outstanding midfields such as Barcelona 11/ Arsenal 04/Spain 08/Man City 12/Dundee 17

Some incredible attacks such as Brazil 70 /Real Madrid 14/Barcelona 15/Dundee 17

Also some amazing goalkeepers such as Buffon/Van Der Saar/Neuer/Bain.

So if you combine all of these teams by their strengths to form the best XI of all time I think it would look something like this:

-------------Bain----
Cammy Kerr---Extabeguren—O’Dea---Holt
Wighton---O’Hara—Vincent---McGowan
-------Haber------Ojamaa

What would be your best 11 of all time?

Fond regards

It's just occurred to me that you haven't graced this fabulous side with a manager. Now, I wonder who that might be.

Would he have a beard, perchance?

Id say a bit of consistency and this side could very well catch rangers this season and steal 5th
