Is there any striker you would swap him for? Bar the obvious unrealistic world class stars like Aguero, Messi, Lewandowski, Suarez etc I wouldn't swap Harry Kane for any other striker in Europe. The guy is one of the best finishers in the game and the outpouring of jealous rival fans still calling him "overrated " is bordering on pathetic what more can this guy do? He has an incredible goal scoring record and pretty much guaranteed to score over 20 prem goals for the 3rd season running. Only the likes of Shearer and Henry have managed this.
He goes missing against Gent and suddenly every jealous rival gets on his case. He then goes and shuts everyone up with another brilliant hatrick. The old tired rubbish of " he never does it against the big boys" has proven to be a load of s** as records prove his goal scoring in London derbies is fantastic especially against Arsenal. You keep shutting them up Harry whilst every other bitter fan keeps dismissing you. Fantastic striker and the best in the league bar Aguero and Ibrahimovich. I actually think Kane is better than Costa and Lukaku.

Not sure they'd have to change the style of play as it very similar to when we play with wing backs.
Anyway it's a really tiiït for tat discussion.
I wouldn't swap Kane for Costa and I'm sure Chelsea fans would swap Costa either.

I didn't mean to sound so dismissive of your point so sorry about that, but I don't really agree that trophies should be used in player comparisons. There are too many examples of average to decent players who've won loads more than comfortably better players

Yeah when it comes to the likes of O'Shea and Darren Fletcher I understand, but when the player is a vital player in teams that win trophies I think it's valid

Costa was an out and out striker. He played a few games wide wide right and As a support striker for atletico but was always an out and out centre forward.
Nobody ever remembers this but costa played against us in the UEFA cup for braga in 2006 (the infamous game where their goalie was wearing the hot pants if any one was there!)
Dived to win a Penalty his cheating ways were evident even then.
I would not swap Kane for costa because I feel like Kane will improve further than costa. Costa is 28 and was never hitting the heights of Harry at his age.
I also feel Kane would do it at other sides when there not performing. Costa has had success for atletico and Chelsea but two top in form sides that usually win things. When Chelsea played badly did he score as much? no. He played more games scored less goals.
Also all the disciplinaries costa has had head butting, spitting, adebayor like celebration resulting in a riot at one game, switching nationalities like a tap, diving. I just think not for me. I can't get behind a player like that.
I think costas got one huge weekness he hates physical defenders fazio had the measure of him in Spain easily. Dier has done a number on him here aswell he hates the physicality despite giving it.
Kane over costa for me. Kane will start to do the business for England when Rooney is gone I'm sure he will break rooneys record and I fancy him for shearers in the league aswell.

Don't understand why any neutrals would choose Costa over Kane if they think things through. Kane is near 5 years younger. That alone should steer people towards Kane.

Absolute cobblers. Costa had fantastic battle with JT during CL semi 2014, and shaded it, taking Atleti through.
He also battered Lesta and Stoke defenders in recent seasons.
And he was the only player who turned up in our CL game v PSG last season. He was superb, battering Thiago Sliva
