Temper those expectations.

Disappointing to lose a few games recently but the issue has been the same at the club for years, not since the likes of Riise, Reina, Hyypia etc have we had a decent defence and coupled with that not since the likes of Mascherano / Hamann have we had a proper DM in there.

Thats the real issue isn't it? Milner been fine but he is a mf and he cant open the pitch and cross with his left foot, Lucas cant run and is no defender while Moreno has just regressed to the point klopp prefers a mf in his position.

When the defence is under pressure it cracks, should not be a surprise considering the points above, add in lovren, klavan being in and out through injuries then add karius and Mignolet situation it just a bit of a mess in defence. If matip and lovren could play 20 games together it may help, but they cant seem to.

We need those defensive players and mf enforcer, esp the way klopp sets up to attack. I suspect this summer we may well get a LB, CB at minimum and hopefully a DM. Then when we look on the bench we wont see lucas, moreno etc when we have injuries.

It is time for the club to pay the money for a defence that can match the attack of our team in terms of quality, id love to see saints cb and lb at our club then find a top top DM...those three players could easily make us a real solid team.
