Drogba wasn't close to being world class for 9 years. Nobody had heard of him until he was 25.

Well we signed him when he was 24 - so I'm pretty sure you'd heard of him before he was 25!
Sorry DAA but Ibrahimovic is just not my kind of footballer. I've acknowledged the fact he's a great goalscorer but that's not what I was talking about, I said goals apart he doesn't do enough to me.
Talking about consistency but I'm afraid he's consistently underwhelmed me for over ten years.
I just prefer to watch a player like Aguero who will make his own things happen rather than stroll around and wait for things to drop into his lap!

Each to their own, not gunna argue with that. It would be a tough call, but I'd have 10 years of Ibrahimovic over 10 years of Drogba.
Drogba will pull up over the line in tight spots/will win you every cup final you have, but Zlatan's the guy you want up top to bag the league year in year out

To be fair i'll admit before this season i thought Ibra wasn't the real deal, i thought he's goal record just looked better because he'd played for the best teams or in crap leagues, but he really has proved me wrong this season, unbelievable what he's done and what he's doing.
You also can't argue with his trophy record, its insane and hasn't he won the league with his team 13 out of the last 15?
He's a phenomenal player.
Can not believe he's never won the CL though and he'll likely retire without one, big shame

Also Drogba is a brilliant player and one of the world's best strikers there's been, and the ultimate big game player. But for sheer consistency you would have to say Ibra
In the last 10 years he's scored 311 goals in 431 games and he has won 24 trophies, that is unreal

I don't actually blame anyone in England for underestimating Ibrahimovic. Very few fans I've come across in day to day life have ever rated him, but it's only because for years and years he had a weird habit of disappearing in games broadcast live on British TV. Me and a fellow football nerd I've known for years used to joke about it. I can only remember two massive exceptions before he moved to Paris - a CL Q/F at the Emirates in 2010 where he chipped Almunia I think it was (the same tie where Messi destroyed them at the Nou Camp), and the match where he scored that ridiculous half way line scissor kick against England.
It was like he was hexed or something
