🔥Ipswich v Wolves🔥{live}

There will be people on remote Scottish islands, secretly rubbing their hands together whilst smiling smugly into the mirror this morning !!!

Ipswich Town midfielder Emyr Huws, goalscorer in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brentford, has a hamstring injury and is a doubt for the visit of Wolves.

Luke Hyam is sidelined for two to three weeks with an ankle injury.

Wolves take on former manager Mick McCarthy's Ipswich looking to avoid a seventh straight defeat.

Ivan Cavaleiro returns to the squad after eight games out with a knee injury, but suspended defender Mike Williamson is missing for the visitors.

On his first league start in 15 months, Williamson was sent off five minutes before full-time in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Reading for a second bookable offence.

As well as going out of the FA Cup at home to Chelsea, Wolves have lost five league games in a row to fall within a point of the Championship drop zone.

Match facts

Wolves last lost seven matches on the trot since March/April 2012, all in the Premier League, when Terry Connor was manager following the sacking of McCarthy.
Wolves have not won on their last two visits to Portman Road, since a 2-0 victory in September 2012.
Since then, following the appointment of ex-Wolves boss McCarthy in November 2012, Ipswich are unbeaten in their last six league games against Wolves, the last four of which have been draws.
Wolves have won a league-high 57.1% of their Championship points away from home (20 out of an overall total of 35) this season.
Tom Lawrence has six Championship goals in 2017 so far - no other Ipswich player has scored more than twice.

If Lambert stays until the end of the season and we stay up he will no doubt big himself up as a saviour as it seemed relegation was inevitable when he came in.

Has anyone seriously seen any signs that this idiot can take us forward?

Grinding out a 0-0 against an awful Ipswich team and beating the worst team in Championship history would prove nothing.

I don't think so Roger I was thinking that it might be more damaging to swap coaches at this stage. However, I'm now leaning towards taking a punt on someone fresh to try and get a bounce out of the players. In my mind the players are good enough to survive (at the very least) in this league. Maybe we need a coach that has a happier personality! Has Rowett taken a new job yet?

If the club are contemplating changing manager again then they need to bide their time and bring in a gem rather than stumble from one manager to another. As well as Rowett did at Brum I think he might just make us a better championship team and personally unless they can line up another Lopetegui or Silva I would rather they left things as they are until they find someone comparable that could not only take the club to the right end of this division but stand a chance of building a team at the next level

And so on to Saturday's must win game between the team with the worst home record and the team with the worst away record. Hopefully we will be second worst on the day

It's the next must win game again DJ, if anybody on here can honestly believe we will win are surely just kidding themselves after yet another poor performance lastnight, one shot on target, pathetic and the team selection was again bizarre, Costa on in the 82nd minute, wtf. I'm just hoping for a change in luck but with this bloke in charge who knows.

If we cant get goals against a team that has conceded 81 this season, we don't deserve to stay up. Most important thing will be to score early and get a second before half time to keep the pant wetters in the south bank calm.

I think the issue spangles is that if we keep Lambert in charge then there is a very real chance we will go down. The risk of someone new doing any worse is getting smaller by the game. We need someone to get us steady again...Ironically someone like Jacket. I don't feel like we can wait for a miracle worker. I Can't see Lambert being the guy to take us any further forward than the Championship either unfortunately. Again, I hope I am wrong about that though, maybe he just needs time to re-do a Norwich??

We didn't play badly at all in the second half last night and any neutral would say we deserved to win the game. If the stats say only one shot on target then clearly the twice we hit the woodwork must count as off target I guess.

But right now results are all that matter and until we win a few then the vibes will inevitably be largely negative. Saturday is a must win game for the good of the club, and frankly I don't care how boring or lucky we need to be on the day as long as we win it

That is the bottom line DJ, 3 points.

Problem Saturday will likely be that he will make several changes again and that of course leads to an unsettled side.

If Rotherham happen to take the lead things will get ugly fast.
