The media people at DRFC never broadcast Ferguson's Press Conferences now before their contents are published in the press. Today with nothing on Player the Yorkshire Post even put out their own short video of the latest one.
When I asked why Player was not the first to broadcast I was told that the local paper wanted exclusivity.
So what are we paying for in Player? Yesterday's news?
I also suggested that a conference when you could not hear the questions was hardly a "conference" and could they get the journalists to use a microphone. (Apart from the main questioner most of the rest can hardly been heard.) They came back saying in effect that they did not have control over the questioners. Yet it is the club manager's conference on club premises for goodness sake!
They also said they would look into providing a radio mike for the journalists, but nothing has happened.
What a shambles.

Don, thanks for the info. I was wondering why, even with home games, Ferguson's after match comments are never available until the next day - and he is usually standing by the pitch. In previous seasons home game comments were always almost immediately on player, and also for most away games.
The problem with the pre-match conferences has always been there - difficult to hear questions for anyone but the primary interviewer.
As you say, it is on club premises, so the Rovers should be able to improve things.
Living 5000 miles away, I'll keep paying as it is difficult to get other "live" comments. I must admit the Free Press usually has written match comments very quickly after all matches. I enjoy their "player ratings".
I've had email discussions with the Beeb about why I cannot watch their video clips in the USA - out late friend, Derek, was always after the Beeb as well.

1pm on the day before the match and still no Ferguson press conference on Player.
The non paying visitor to the OS had a half-page summary of the event 19 hours ago, but those who pay to be informed get nothing extra until Joe Public has had the news for nothing.
