Wolves host Championship bottom club Rotherham United at Molineux looking for their first win in eight matches.
Defender Mike Williamson is available after suspension, while £13m winger Helder Costa may start after coming off the bench at Ipswich on Tuesday.
Rotherham will have forward Danny Ward available again after he missed Tuesday's defeat by Brighton.
The Millers are 19 points adrift of safety and have lost nine of their last 10 league games.

Edwards was no better or worse than most today in my opinion. He was pushed out on the left wing and played further forward but with little or no service. Had a few moments of good pressing or chasing down the ball but was mostly ineffective. I do find it odd that when edwards plays deeper ina CM pairing he is blamed by some for not putting quality passes up to the forwards, but when he plays forward he is blamed for not doing anything despite a lack of quality passes.
Weimann, edwards, costa all starved of ball to feet for nearly the entire game. Terrible distribution from coady, saville, williamson, hause - iorfa, doc and stears would have all done better in that aspect of their game i think. And no ambition from price or saiss.
Ikeme and weimann come oit of the game with some credit. Most of the rest of the starting XI were average to poor and none really deserve singling out.

Hopefully Edwards won't start playing badly, so it's not a serious question. If one has to give an answer it would be " when nine other outfielders are better than him".

Not sure I've seen anyone on here say he's playing badly. Yes, there are some on MolMinx who keep criticising him, but they do that however wll he does, and there are many who oppose the diehards' arguments.
If a whole team plays "badly", why is one player singled out for " blame"? I wasn't at the game so didn't see it for myself.

You need to stop takings thing personally, Edwards had another poor game, he has had many the last month or two, nobody could possibly deny that, he needs a rest and certainly needs to be pulled in some recent games.
Before you try and turn it into some anti Edwards rubbish you should note I was one of few this week saying he should start.

best full back. most consistent defender. and creates and scores more than most in the squad.
hard to believe but doc is the fourth highest scorer in the league so far this season...behind cav, costa and leading man edwards.

To me Doherty is better on the left than the right. Lambert moved him to right back for no good reason and then when he didn't play as well he dropped him.
Lambert tries to come across as mr positive but so many of his comments are made to look silly. He said Doherty was his most reliable player, then left him out. Said he was pleased with Iorfa at Reading and hasn't played him since. And when Dicko scored the other week he said he hoped he would go on a run, and hasn't picked him since.

I think he can play well at both LB and RB, but what doesn't help is to be switched backwards and forwards between them. that said, our need is greater on the left as we really have no cover ( i won't include the laughable experiment with Saville), whereas we have coady, iorfa and marshall to cover the RB spot. and Doherty has made that place his own this last few months, making him and ikeme first names on the team sheet for me.

Wasn't it great to have a back 4 that you knew we're a fixture? I'm thinking of the Parkin, Munroe, McAlle, Palmer combination. In fact most of the side was established in those days.
