lost the dressing room?

just a few observations, which might be coincidence or adding two and two together to get three...

hause and graham sent home from training due to being unfit to be there (presumably because of drinking)...hause dropped for a match but then brought back into the team immediately for the reading game. seems quite a light punishment - which i'd almost understand if hause was our best player and we couldn't afford to be without him but he's not really been any better than batth or stearman this year

batth dropped for the defeat at reading (when we let two goals in) but recalled for Ipswich due to Williamson's red card. we keep a very rare clean sheet and get our first point for 7 games. batth is then dropped for the Rotherham match. when PL makes the third substitution yesterday, bringing on cavaleiro, batth leaves the dugout takes off his training top and walks down the tunnel.

25/1 - PL on Doherty: "I think he’s been fantastic. Since he switched over to left back it seems he’s been great for us – one of the most consistent players in the league, let alone our team."

a month later, doc is inexplicably dropped for Saville at LB. we lose 2-1. doherty is recalled for the next game where we keep a rare clean sheet and get our first point in weeks. he is then dropped for the Rotherham game.

dicko scores his first league goal in forever v blouse and the relief and joy is clear to see. but when we need a goal against Ipswich, or when we should be attacking a very poor Rotherham side, dicko spends the entire 180 minutes on the bench. against Rotherham, MGW is preferred as a late sub begging the question what must dicko be thinking?

we seem to have gone from a side that was battling but dropping points (Norwich and Newcastle were both decent performances where we were unlucky to lose) to one that has no clue what the tactics are, who is playing where, and how we will ever score a goal. the whole thing feels like the unrest we had when RJ arrived and a clearly divided dressing room led to half hearted and disjointed performances on the pitch. and when the side is getting dragged into a relegation fight, killing the team spirit is terrible management from lambert, which for me justifies the rising calls for him to be sacked before the start of the next season.

Can't argue with that Halfy. All I'm going with is the wikipedia website for the 39 players that have been listed for the upcoming matches. Looks like the discrepancy is Shane Duffy, who may have been withdrawn through an injury.

Just checked with the BBC. Shane Duffy out with an injury, so Doherty has been called up.

A club with billionaire owners that is under performing will be attractive to a lot of managers, so let's go for someone who could not only stand a chance of making a promotion team, but who could also do a job in the top flight if we got there.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So someone who could not only turn a struggling Championship team into a top six Championship team and could also get automatic promotion to the Premier League and do a job there?
Step forward Tony Pulis. Oh, hang on a minute...

The only play-offs you're likely to see for a long time unless you count League One play-offs.

Mark Tucker appointed chair of the major banking group HSBC.

Could have had a very different life. His first job was as a trainee with Wolves but he didn't make the grade

HSBC GET RID not good enough

interesting that ROI now has two wolves (or ex wolves) LBs...neither of whom started life as LBs.
