Bolton stay on the road today. A tough trip 254.10 miles to Gillingham's priestfield stadium. Why are the long trips in midweek? It is what it is though. Gillingham a tough challenge. Have a new manager Adrian penock since the 4-0 defeat at the macron. Inconsistent but beat Scunthorpe at the weekend and have drawn against Bradford and Sheffield united which suggests they raise their level of performance against the top teams. With 2nd place in Boltons hands probably need to win tonight but reckon a draw and a win at home on Saturday would be good. The reverse fixture at the macron was the performance of the season at home so far. Looking at that team no ameobi, Clough, Wilson, spearing. However we have new heroes after the best away performance of the season at Fleetwood. Alf who now appears to have found his scoring boots, the superb Phil Morris great crosser of the ball and the returning Darren pratley. Team news. Still no Wilson, Buxton, spearing or Davies unless any off them have made a secret miraculous recovery. Chris long is available after suspension. Changes? Maybe one jem karacan for Vela or pratley.

Another good result on the road, a boost to the old goal difference and we still have a game in hand on the teams above us and two on the teams below. Not a bad place to be all things considered.

Is this sudden change in form and mini run going to be a bit like Tales of the Unexpected and have a twist at the end.
Don't let your guard down just in case.

Personally look on Bradford as the main threat. Made 2 points on them tonight. Feeling confident now.
-----don't forget the Fleetwood threat Benny I think they could be the main threat 🤔

Results have improved since jay spearing has been injured and someone else is taking free kicks and corners.

In other news hyuga tanner(no I've never heard of him either) is to leave at the end of the season to seek first team football. The embargo has only allowed him to play u23 football. The key words I read are "the embargo doesn't seem to be getting lifted anytime". How many more youngsters will lose because of the embargo? Also would there be any point in getting promoted as won't be able to survive in the championship on free transfers. Works in league one but not there.

According to the Beano. Spearing is on his way back. Possibly within a couple of weeks.
It has to be good news.

Jake turner called up to the u18 England squad. Another possible loss as will the embargo stop bklton offering him a pro deal and he goes elsewhere. Difficult with amos Alnwick and howard all contracted to the club next season.

It's here again
Another match day and the stresses that come with it. Will we have the Under New Ownership banners flying around the ground or is it just giant posters of Chairman Ken and the company song from now on.
