JA606 - The Full History 2011-2017

Has anyone else on here noticed the evolving Banter trends and Poster behaviour, over the years on our beloved site? During all the countless rounds of debating, insult trading, comebacks, giving it large and put-downs that we have all enjoyed, a definite pattern of vernacular has emerged depending on the time-line of the posting. Things that we used to see on here all the time have completely disappeared and been replaced by new approaches and styles of attack.

For example...............

2011
"He's just a WUM!!"
"Don't feed the Trolls!!"
"Mind the gap!!" (said when your own team is going particularly well)
The LAL movement began through the Andy Carroll signing and driven by infamous WUM's like Bubbles.
Let's all start a massive thread on some obscure board like all the other Clubs have.

2012
"You're all Plastics!!"
The "Full-Kit W⚓" insult, made it's debut now after being modelled by John Terry after the CL Final.
It was revealed that a notorious WUM on here is actually a moderator on Not 606.
Civil War/In-Fighting on One's own board became all the rage about now.

2013
"Filtering is for p00fs!!".
"Deleting comments is for p00fs!!".
References to "Crusty undercrackers" and "Pant sniffing" were introduced.
"Hi, first-time poster but long-time reader here" (U25250)
"Hi, first-time poster, who did you used to be?" (U1270)
"Fanboy" insults issued for specific Player adulation.
"Bite!!" or "Massive Chomp!!" (when feeling particularly humiliated apparently)

2014
The Titanic sunk in 1912, but apparently it has only just been discovered and is still debated to the current day, but most of us stopped reading about now.
of the Year Competition introduced. All the usual suspects were present and certainly performed up to their rated seedings.
Nice Guy of the Year Competition also introduced. Was won by some bloke apparently.
The drunken meltdown rant began during this year with famous contributions from Bats, latterly by "Ronnie Pickering" and even TCP

2015
Stealth Wumming became fashionable - Compulsory even!!
The "I don't remember you!" approach from Poster's that you had previously had a massive tear-up with, was trending at this time also.
"This is one of his Sock Accounts!!" was also levelled at certain high-profile WUM posters.
Classics appear on the site, such as "Donkeys are grate" and
"Lynn earns $650,000 a year as a travel agent".

2016
"You're just trying to stay relevant!!" (said to failing team's supporters)
"You're not our rivals!!" (even though you do far better than we do )
Urban Appeal
Jimmy Greaves sadly passed away in April. God rest his soul.
In other happier news, Jimmy Greaves thankfully did not pass away So that's all right then.
"Cockneys ". Still trending today, said obviously by everyone outside of London at every available opportunity. The Cockneys themselves have declined to comment about it.

2017
"Just go to a facking game!!" This particular jibe is hot off the press and trending in a town near you. It is also essential to photograph your "Own" ticket (suitably blacked out) to show that of course, you've got one.
"You'll only win the League coz you don't have Europe, otherwise we would've!!"
"You do realise that winning the game/cup/league isn't your own personal achievement?" (even though we also bragged about our "achievements" when we had them to brag about).

So there you have it, in it's full glory. Some trends are not trends at all but old favourites to the Serial Combatants on here and never seem to go out of fashion. Mum and family jokes, employment in Toilet cleaning, Small Club Mentality, Keyboard Warriors, accusations of Stalking or Obsession (individual or team), Name-Changing bets or Self-Banishment (if proved wrong) from the Site.

Other permanent insults on here are usually traced back to earlier than JA606 with Films like The Football Factory, with "Jog on, you Mug!!" "You're a complete Melt!!" or "I'll take you outside and open you up like a tin can!!" proving particularly popular amongst the JA Community.
