What no ratings

Had to catch this one on TV due to work commitments today. Been a busy day and surprised coming on that nobody has done any ratings after such an important game.

Concern over the Jansson which seems to be developing into more than just rested to avoid a suspension.

Disappointed with the idiots in the crowd pushing the Brighton player around who had been pushed into the kop by a Leeds player. Fair play to Hunemeier for not reacting to the situation although he was outnumbered slightly. One old guy in his 70s was pushing him and mouthing expletives. Really???

Green - getting stronger as the season goes on. 8/10

Berardi - very strong game until Solly March came on 7/10

Taylor - never put a foot wrong at the back. mr consistent 7/10

Bartley - strong leader today. won countless headers at both ends of the pitch. monumental. 9/10

Cooper -good return but one always feels there is a mistake in him. Almost scored an own goal, lost an ariel challenge that gave Murray a chance, and missed an header on a corner that fell at the feet of a Brighton player 3 yards out. Some excellent tackles but needs to cut out the clumsiness. 6/10

Bridcutt - busy game but distribution poor at times 6/10

Vieira - very strong in breaking up play and dont remember him misplacing a pass 8/10

Sacko - some decent triangle work down the right flank but final balls were poor. 6/10

Pedraza - quiet in periods and failed to create much going forwards. Trys to be direct which is a positive in his game 6/10

Hernandez - Brighton were scared of him often having 2-3 players trying to tackle him. Decent set-pieces and creative today. 7/10

Wood - 24 for the season. What a man. Great header. Really roughed up the Brighton defence and a great outlet for the long balls. 9/10

Subs
--------
Doukara - won the penalty with a great run 7/10
Dallas - worked hard 6/10
O'Kane - finally saw him pass to a Leeds shirt. 6/10

Now it is you that seems to be taking things personally. I asure you that I make no intention of targetting certain users, merely that I disagree with certain users on key things.

I have watched the game and think Cooper played well. You have watched and you disagree. That is fine. We are all fans here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but you have not answered the question.......

You are either suggesting that none of these errors occurred or it is ok for centre backs to make 3 goal giving chances in a game and still be regarded as having a great game - which is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i think it is possible for a player to make mistakes but still have a great game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ok fair enough..........

different question now.........

had he scored the own goal or Berardi not been well position to clear and it been nodded in and Murray scored the 2 goals for the other errors and we lost the game 2-3

would you still think Cooper had had a great game?

Now you are asking me to judge him on an entirely different game of football which I, of course, cannot do.

would appear we have a different way of thinking resulting in a different rating. No problem with that.

Now as for scapegoat? I havent made Cooper into anything of the sort. I have given him 6/10 which for me is an average rating. I can rate players at 0 if need be, so 6 is ok.

Cooper 6 Bridcutt 6 Sacko 6 Pedraza 6 O'Kane 6 Dallas 6

How does this make Cooper a scapegoat?

I noticed that you tried extra hard to justify your rating for Cooper. It felt to me that you were trying too hard to justify your rating for him, picking up specific incidents, which you do with no other player. Maybe you knew people would pick up on it, so you were trying to justify and compensate in advance?

Copper did well but Jansson is better. Did you the receipt in the bag??

Extra writing because he was fresh back in the team and he had one of those games that one could write more about, no other reason. Cooper played his part in getting us a 2-0 win today and is a useful player. I dont have a problem with him like i did for example in Bellusci who could not head a ball. Very happy for Cooper to be a Leeds player and hopefully if he can cut out the errors he can be a top player for us. We may need him more next season if Bartley / Bellusci both depart.

Well then, I am glad we have managed to move on. If we get promoted this season then I would keep Cooper as a fourth choice defender, with Bartley, jansson and one other coming in.

No one mentioning Taylor specifically, thought he was good considering its his first appearance in 3 months. He'll be at peak in a few matches and if he's producing crosses like he did yesterday we are looking good

I thought Berardi was better than a 7 ......
